"Aren't they the cutest couple you've ever seen, Jane?" My younger sister Ali scrolls through her Instagram explore page, showing me that it's filled with screen grabs and small fragments of the Devon Thompson and Ivy Bass breakup video, which also littered my explore page. The news of Devon and Ivy's breakup took the entire internet by storm and by now I couldn't look at satisfying slime videos or makeup tutorials without scrolling to a picture of the two I wasn't interested in.

"They're not a couple anymore, dummy." I say and she sticks her tongue out at me, turning back to her phone screen, which she hadn't looked away from for the past few hours.

"I guess you're right. I just never thought it'd happen." She lets out a deep sigh. "Well, maybe now I have a chance with him." she grins.

"First of all, he's really not even cute, also, you're a child." I shrug and toss a piece of over-salted popcorn in my mouth. "Why is everyone so attracted to him? Why don't we look at pictures of Chris Pratt and Jeffree Star's boyfriend?" I snatch her cellphone out of her hand and toss it beside me carelessly.

In my opinion she was one of the 14 year old's who watched way too many tik toks and had a very very weird obsession with Roblox, and it made me like her ten times less.

"He's not supposed to be hot." She rolls her eyes at me instead of it being the other way around. "He's cute. And he's funny. His personality is worth as much as 20 hot guys." I roll my eyes but I had to give her props. Nowadays most girls are just looking for the hottest guy, or the most popular. But how much she actually liked Devon and enjoyed his crappy content was different, a good type of different.

"Yeah, I'm sure." I try to end the conversation but soon she's laid on her back next to me, staring dreamily at the ceiling. No doubt Devon is littering her mind.

"Do you know where he lives?" She turns to me with a wide smile, one that I haven't seen much since we moved.

"No, because I'm not a 14 year old stalker like you, my dear." I flick her forehead but she's too dazed thinking about Devon and his 'cute personality' to even react to my action.

"In LA!" She squeals and drapes herself over my lap, successfully knocking over my bowl of popcorn which doesn't faze her at all.

"You do know that LA is like the most populated place ever right?" I raise an eyebrow and Ali shrugs and kicks her feet wildly.

"Yeah, but now we're here. He could live right down the road, Mary!" She places two hands over her heart. "I'm going to go out and find him, maybe he'll love me just as much as I love him." I shake my head at my childish sister and crack a small smile at her while she daydreams.

I used to be like her when I was younger. First it was Justin Bieber, then it was adolescent Shawn with his one album out and I successfully convinced myself that I would marry him. And it left me heartbroken when I didn't, but that's just a part of a semi-healthy childhood.

"Why don't you get a job? Or a life?" I tease and she sits up, crossing her arms sassily over her chest.

"You know, there's a 19 year old in the room who still lives with her parents and survives off of a weekly 20$ allowance." She smirks over at me and it takes all of my willpower not to reach over and smack my smart-assed little sister. "And it's not me." She sings and does a tiny weird dance around my room.

"You're a little shit, you know?" She nods and offers me a cocky smile. "For your information, little girl, I just scored three interviews tomorrow." I close my laptop gently, and make a humph sound as if I've won the dispute. But my victory sound is put to shame once she crosses her arms and smirks at me, obviously about to ruin my mood somehow.
