Connor Finished The Milk And Strummer Likes Mentos

Oakley woke up on a Saturday morning. Tonight was race night, but not just any race night... these set of races mean the difference between Oakley going to states or not. He has to come in the top 5 in every race tonight to be eligible for states.

Oakley climbed down from his top bunk to see Strummer still passed out in his own bed. Oakley found some clean clothes and made his way to the kitchen. Evan and Zoe had been already awake for a few hours.

Evan was watering his "baby tree" while Zoe was sitting on her laptop on Pinterest.

"Hey kiddo, ready for your big races tonight"? Evan asked

"Yeah, I'm excited". Oakley smiled

"That's good. You're going to be careful, right"? Zoe asked

"Of course, Mom. I always am. Uncle Connor and Aunt Caddie are coming too. I promised I'd show Geoffrey the pits".

"Speaking Of Connor... when he was here yesterday.. he finished the milk". Evan smiled to Zoe

"Oh man... I wanted a glass of milk". Oakley chuckled

"We all did". Zoe frowned

"I'll go get some"! Strummer ran into the room excitedly

"Last time I gave you money for groceries, you came back with 12 packs of Mentos...". Zoe said looking up from her laptop

"I like Mentos"! Strummer smiled.

"Well I like milk". Zoe said returning to her computer

"So... is that a no? I can't go"? Strummer asked

"Only if Oakley goes with you". Zoe sighed

"Fine. Let's go"! Strummer yelled grabbing Oakley's arm and rushing him towards the front door.

"Why do you like going to the store so much"?

"I like Mentos". Strummer said once again

"I hate this". Oakley groaned as he pushed the cart through the store

"Hey. You're the one that wanted milk". Strummer smiled

"Yes I wanted milk, so does Mom and so does Dad. The only one who's seems to be against it is you".

"I'm not against milk... it's just that Mentos are better.... speaking of which, we should get some more"!

"No. Mom gave us money for milk and only milk. I don't want to spend my entire---AH IT'S EMILY"!

"Well that's not inconspicuous at all, nice job bro". Strummer mocked

"Shut up! Did she see me"?!

"More like, did she hear you. Why is it such a big deal? After Homecoming night things got really heated between you two didn't they"? Strummer raised an eyebrow while having a cheeky grin on his face

"Hide me"! Oakley whisper yelled

"Where Oakley? In my shirt"?

Emily approached Strummer smiling. Oakley ducked behind a shelf.

"Hey Strum, it's good to see you".

"Yeah you too".

Then she left. The conversation didn't even last long enough for Oakley to accidentally sneeze to reveal himself.

"I worry about you sometimes. Anyway... Mentos, Mentos, Mentos". Strummer grinned grabbing three jumbo packs

"These are 5 dollars a box! Mom only have us 5 for the milk"!

"Fine... so I'll get one pack".

"No, you'll get no pack. Just put it back before---

"Oakley! I didn't know you were here"! Emily said immediately hugging him

"Oh hey, didn't see you either". Oakley played cool

The conversation turned into Emily inviting Oakley to go to the park with her. He immediately agreed leaving Strummer alone in the store.

"Well.. looks like I'm getting my Mentos after all". Strummer chuckled

Strummer pulled out the 5 from Zoe and another 20 that he took from Evan a few days ago.

"I should get some Coke too.... It's going to be a fun night".

So there went the grocery money, spent on Mints and Coke. Did Strummer feel bad for his mother who was all so desperate to just have milk in the house? Yes, but Mentos and Coke sounded so much better then a small glass of milk for cereal or coffee the next morning.

Maybe Zoe should get a pet cow? Then she'd never have to worry about running out of milk again. Oakley met with Strummer before they headed back home together.

"Sorry I left you. Emily and I walked through the park".

"It's okay". Strummer awnsered simply

"Sooo... where's the milk"? Oakley asked looking in the bag

"Well... uh"? Strummer chuckled nervously

"You've got to be kidding me.... please tell me you didn't". Oakley groaned

"I'm sorry! I had too"!

"This is why Mom doesn't let you go shopping alone anymore"!

"Well... at least we'll have a blast tonight after your races... like a victory celebration". Strummer shruged

Oakley had to left it go. Sorry Mom, Oakley thought.

They entered the house and immediately Zoe called.

"Good you boys are back! I've been craving my coffee all day, all I need is my milk".

The boys exchanged a certain look with each other. Zoe's smile dropped and her eyes narrowed

"What did you do"? Zoe asked lowly

"Well you see Mama.. it's a funny story... a funny story Oakley will now tell you"! Strummer yelled running to his room with the bag in hand

"GET BACK HERE"! Oakley shouted

"Why do you boys always have to make so much noise! All I want to do is spend my afternoon watching documentarys about trees! I can't when you all are shouting"! Evan yelled from the living room

"Where's my milk". Zoe groaned

"Strummer spend the money on Mentos and Coke".

"He did what?! Why?! I just asked for someone to go buy some 2% milk for my coffee and occasional glass of cold milk at night... I never can win can I"?! Zoe said making her way away for the sake of her sanity.

Once again... Poor Zoe went without Milk.

Okay so the last chapter has some really funny comments between Glittersilver and I. We basically role played Oakley, Strummer, Zoe and Evan. It turned into Zoe being desperate to have milk in the house so I decided to make a funny filler chapter based on the funny lines from the roleplay
