Zoe called Evan immediately. She sat down next to the boy and played with his hair. When Evan awnsered she stood up and walked to her home office.

"Evan, there has to be someone at your office that can help Oakley". Zoe whispered so Oakley wouldn't hear but loud enough for Evan to hear her.

"Well, maybe Jess can... She works with young kids all day. I'm sure she could help".

"Can you talk to her to make an appointment? I can't watch this go on anymore".

"Okay babe, I will. I love you and..... try to have fun with him today. Maybe that's all he needs"?

Zoe sighed and agreed. When she walked back out into the living room, Oakley hadn't moved.

"Hey baby, want to go ride you're truck around"?

The boy whimpered lowly, he was clearly afraid. Of what? Zoe had no idea. Zoe lifted Oakley into her arms and she could feel him shaking.

"Shhh, you're okay, sweetie". Zoe soothed

Soon Oakley was relaxed again and almost asleep. He's never used to sleep this much Zoe thought. Suddenly Zoe got a call back from Evan.

"Jess is free at noon today. She said she'd be more than happy to sit down with you and Oakley. I'll try to make it but I have a session at 11:30 and I don't know how long it will go for".

"Okay, thanks babe. I'll keep you updated".

Zoe got Oakley ready and got him in the car. The boy sat emotionless looking out the window. Zoe sighed to herself while she drove.

"Baby"? Zoe started to say

Oakley looked in her direction from the back seat.

"We're going to talk to a very nice lady. Can you please be honest when she asks you questions? Let's try to talk to her, okay"?

Oakley just frowned and turned away. It's like he was upset Zoe was making him talk to someone he didn't want to. He didn't care if she was nice or not, he didn't want to talk to anyone ever again! So he wasn't going to.

They pulled up to Evan's office. Zoe unstrapped Oakley and the two of them walked hand in hand. When they approached the main desk, there was another lady there.

"Hello... Mrs. Hansen? Are you here to see Evan"?

"No, thank you. Evan talked to Jessica about getting our son Oakley in for a session around noon".

"Oh yes, of course. Please have a seat. Jessica will be right out".

Zoe and Oakley sat down in the waiting room.

"There are some toys over there, bud". Zoe tried to say

No cares were shown by the boy. He just sat by his mother swinging his legs in anticipation. Finally Jessica came out from her office.

"Zoe and Oakley Hansen"? She called

Zoe took Oakley's hand in hers and the two walked to the small but cozy office. It was painted a pale yellow with bright blue as the trim. The floor was a wood with a stripped blue rug. If this was being used for anything else, it would look very childish, possibly for a kids bedroom. However, it did give a positive vibe which is perfect for what it is. Zoe being a room designer, she always found herself judging rooms in people's homes.

She walked into a clients living room once, and it was painted a bright green color with a pea green carpet. Zoe's designer mind immediately cringed. Apparently the woman's ex husband was really into the color green. Now that they've divorced, she wanted a new living room that didn't look like actual vomit. Zoe was of course happy to do that for her.

"Your husband Evan, filled me in on your situation. It can already tell we're going to need to start meeting at least once every few weeks. I would like to help Oakley through this... for me to do this I'll need to be able to monitor him, if that's okay with you". Jessica spoke very sweetly and obviously really wanted to help.

"Of course. Is there anything we need to talk about specifically for the first visit"? Zoe asked

"I'd just like to get to know Mr. Oakley. That way we have a better understanding of each other. Oakley, can you tell me what your favorite color is"?

Oakley looked up at her with a scowl. He did not like this situation in the least bit and he refused to make anything easier. To him the question was dumb.

"What's your favorite color, sweetie"? Zoe asked

Oakley turned away completely uninterested and annoyed. Jessica wrote something down on her clipboard before clearing her throat.

"Okay? Um.. how about you tell me about something you're like"?

Oakley looked back towards her with his scowl growing bigger and bigger. He tried to stand up but Zoe gently pulled him back down.

"Jessica asked you a question, Oakley. It's very rude if you don't respond".

Oakley gave his mother an eye roll before standing up and racing to the door. He jiggled the handle frantically trying to get out. For some reason the handle wouldn't budge.

Zoe picked him up and took him back to the couch. He folded his arms angrly and let his mind completely shut down. He wouldn't respond to any questions being asked.

"Okay, I think we'll call it quits there. Mrs. Hansen, I suggest we continue these meetings. I actually have something that might help Oakley. I can't guarantee that it will help him with his speech but it should help with his emotions".

Jessica pulled out a white bottle. Zoe was unsure of having Oakley actually take meds for this but she soon realized that him getting better was far more important.

"Thank you".

With that the two headed home. Zoe texted Evan telling him that Oakley and her had left.

----THAT NIGHT----
EVANS POV
When I got home, Oakley was sitting on the couch pouting. I was fairly confused. Zoe sat watching him from her office. When I approached her, she immediately told me everything.

"Things didn't go well today". She started

"What happened"?

She explained how Oakley acted towards Jessica and that he was currently in time-out. I frowned and looked back towards Oakley sitting on the couch.

"Dinner's on the stove by the way". Zoe told me

"Okay, it's almost 8:30. I'll eat then put him to bed".

She nodded without looking up at me. After I ate I picked up the child. He fell into my arms.

"Hey buddy, it's okay... I know you're sorry".

He slightly smiled at me. This was a huge relief.

-----------------

It's been a few hours sense Oakley fell asleep. Suddenly there was a large looming shadow being casted in the corner. The boy woke up immediately but couldn't move in the slightest.

The shadow continued to get closer and closer until it was right on the end of the bed. Oakley followed the "thing" with his eyes. It looked like it really wanted to hurt him but everytime it got close, it would back away slowly.

Sweat started on Oakley's forehead. He then let out a loud scream. He started screaming and didn't stop until it was out of his view. Zoe and Evan burst into the room.

"Baby, baby?! What's wrong"?! Zoe asked terrified

Oakley just pointed the now empty corner that only a few moments ago, held a demon looking creature. Zoe held him in her arms and just slowly rocked him back and forth in an attempt to calm him down.

"Sleep paralysis". Evan said to himself but loud enough for Zoe to hear

"What does this mean"? Zoe asked in a whisper

"We need to make the meetings with Jessica more often. Oakley needs help..... we need to help him".
