Brothers Meet

Connor brought Oakley as soon as things settled down for Zoe and Evan. Oakley sat in the back of Connor's truck bouncing up and down in his car-seat.

"I get to see my brother"! Oakley smiled wide

It was adorable, every moment of it. Connor was happy to see Oakley's veiws on having a sibling had changed. He never thought Zoe and Evan would have another child.

They pulled into the hospital parking lot and headed inside quickly.

"Hello, what can I help you with"? The lady at the front desk asked

"Zoe Hansen". Connor awnsered

The woman looked through her computer for the room number.

"165, that will be on the first floor nursery wing".

"Thank you". Connor smiled taking Oakley's hand and leading him to his parents.

Once they reached the room, Connor knocked gently then heard a voice say come in. The door was opened slowly and quietly. Oakley was silent as he walked inside the room. He remembered being in a hospital and how much he didn't like it.

"Oakley, sweetie... come say hi". Zoe smiled

Slowly and nervously, Oakley approached his Mom. Evan watched in amazement as a wide smile broke onto the childs face. He was so small, so peaceful, so perfect.

"H-Hi brother". Oakley said holding the baby's hand gently

It was such an amazing moment for Zoe and Evan, one they'll remember for a life time. After a few hours, everyone had shown up to meet the baby boy. It was now late and Strummer and Oakley were curled up in Zoe's arms together.

Evan entered the room to find his son's fast asleep with Zoe smiling as she looked down at them.

"How's everything going, babe"? Evan said in a hushed voice

"Perfect. I don't know how I'm going to ever be in a bad mood when I have you three".

"Haha... just wait baby. You think that now because there sleeping on your lap together for the first time".

"Possible. It's still so amazing, Evan. These adorable boys are ours.... We have a family of four now".

"I know Zo... I can't wait to get them home".

"Evan, could you do me a favor"? Zoe suddenly began to smirk

"Uh... yeah, what is it"?

Zoe's smirk grew wider as she pointed to Strummer then the diaper bag. Evan had obviously changed a diaper before but to be honest it wasn't a thing he did all the time. Not because he wouldn't do it but because Zoe was always around when it happened and just did it without saying anything. If she had asked... like she is now, then Evan would've done it more.

"Uh... o-okay... I can d-do that".

Evan picked up the sleeping infant and carried him and the bag to the bathroom where they had a changing table. Zoe wrapped her arms around Oakley who moved closer to her.

"I love you, bud". Zoe said basically to herself, not expecting any response back.

"I love you too, Mommy".

A few minutes later Evan could be heard

"Strummer... buddy.. how are you even doing that?! You think you're so funny"!

Oakley sat up and snuggled into Zoe. They both sat and listened to Evan.

"You were born today! How can you pee this far"!

Oakley giggled at his dad and Brother.

"Strummer peed on Daddy". Oakley laughed

Zoe chuckled too. This was all a plan, Zoe wanted to know if he was a distance pee-er like Oakley was. Looks like he is. She did feel a little bad for making Evan find out first hand.

Finally Evan walked out holding Strummer in his arms. He carefully placed him down with Zoe again.

"Are we just not going to talk about what happened in there"? Zoe asked

"What? If I don't acknowledge it, it didn't happen"! Evan cringed. "On a side note.... we didn't happen to bring me another shirt did we"?
