This was a huge milestone for the kid. Not only has he remembered something that was very important in this life, he called her Mama. He hasn't called Zoe or Evan Mom or Dad ever since the accident. They just assumed he knew who they were.

Larry was smiling too. He nodded as he headed to his suitcase to pull out his glove. Luckily Zoe had packed Oakley's baseball glove her parents got him for his birthday. It was would be the first time Oakley and Larry could play together.

They kept trying to get the child to remember anything else from his past. He was actually making some good progress. Oakley looked over to Connor's blue truck and gasped.

"What is it, pumpkin"? Heidi questioned

"Big Blue"! He smiled

Explanation time! Connor loves his truck...... a lot. So much in fact, he'll often refer to it as Big Blue. It was another thing he had remembered from his past. Anything he can remember would be worth it.

Eventually Evan and Connor returned clean and showered. Zoe smiled at Evan before walked over to him.

"Is that hug from earlier still available"? She chuckled

"It's always available. What happened to make you so happy"? Evan asked as Zoe threw her arms around her husband.

"Oakley remembered me". The words rang through Evan's ears like music.

"Really? That's amazing, baby".

"He also remembered my Dad's baseball glove and Big Blue".

Evan smiled wide before kissing Zoe's head.

"Corn's ready"! Larry yelled as he carefully turned the stocked food over the fire.

It was way to hot to eat right away so everyone waited until they could at least grab it. Connor was the corn man, and grabbed everyone's cob for them.

Zoe took a knife and cut the corn off the cob in strips for Oakley. The boy didn't believe in silverware so.... he didn't use it. He used his hands and shoveled the corn into his mouth.

"Daddy! Corn is good"! Oakley giggled looking at Evan

Evan smiled wide realizing he had been remembered.

"It is good, bud".

Everyone finished eating and then we started hanging out all together. The day slowly turned into night but Zoe decided that letting Oakley stay up a little later couldn't hurt anything.

"Mama"? Oakley said as he gently tugged on Zoe's jacket.

"What's wrong, honey"?

"Is it to late...or early for me to make a birthday wish"?

Zoe was very confused why he would ask this. She just smiled slightly and asked him why he wanted to wish now.

"Well... I.. can't remember... my wish from before". He frowned

"Okay, what's your wish"?

"My wish is to remember".

The words cut into Zoe like a knife. She just fought to keep a smile on her face.

"That's a nice wish, bud. Don't worry, I think your wish will come true soon".

"I hope so"!

He then ran to Connor. Zoe couldn't stop thinking about Oakley's wish. It then became her wish too. She wants more than anything for Oakley to remember his life. It is his life after all.

They all sat around the camp fire telling stories and laughing. Oakley ran to the tent when no one was looking. He was tired but didn't want to go to bed yet. If Mommy and Daddy weren't making him go to bed then he wasn't going to.

Oakley grabbed his blanket and carried it out to the fire. He crawled up in a yard chair. No one really seemed to notice. He sat for a little bit listening to Connor talk about stories from his job. Soon Oakley found his eye lids slowly closing.

Soon the boy was curled up into a ball with his blanket over him sleeping. Evan looked over to him and chuckled. Evan then tried to pick him up and take him to the tent but an immediate whine stopped his actions.

"No, Daddy". He said before looking towards Zoe.

"Cuddle, Mama"?

Zoe's eyes lit up. This was the kid she remembers. The cuddly kid who was a Momma's boy. She nodded and lifted the kid onto her lap. He curled back up into her arms. Evan placed the blanket over Oakley. The toddler let a small smile appear, showing he was happy and comfortable.

"He's such a Momma's boy". Connor laughed

"I know, I love it". Zoe says, moving the hair from the boys eyes.

"You have quite the kid there, Zo". Larry chuckled smiling at his sleeping grandson, laying happily in his daughters arms.

"Does it remind you of anything, Larry"? Cynthia chuckled

"Yeah, that kid is a good mixture of Evan but acts so much like Connor did".

Zoe smiling softly. Connor's face turned red.

"I never did that". Connor defended

"Oh yes you did, every night I'd have you sleeping in my arms as I sat on the couch. Zoe just liked falling asleep in the most random places. I worried me a lot". Cynthia laughed

"What"? Zoe gasped

"When Connor was a toddler, he couldn't fall asleep in less it was in his own bed, or my arms. Zoe, you would run off somewhere in the house when you got tired. We'd find you in some really random places". Larry said

"Like where"?

"The upstairs bathroom sink. Don't ask me how, at age 3, you climbed up into the sink".

Evan chuckled almost bursting out in a laughing fit.

"Well, Evan... I wouldn't be laughing so much. You would do that too from time to time. I once found him on top of the washer.....". Heidi laughed

Oakley hadn't budged at all since he crawled into Zoe's arms. She held him tightly and kissed the top of his head.

"I'm going to bed. I'll see you guys tomorrow". Zoe smiled as she lifted Oakley up and the two went to bed.
