Gabriella's visit to the Moretti's house got postponed for she had a personal emergency to handle. Hence, Diego was now free to take rest or was kept home arrest to put it in a proper way. Chandra had strictly warned Diego not to leave the house for at least a day.
It's a hard task for the lad who doesn't stay at home much but with his mother's order and his favourite tea served to him in a big ceramic pot had him glued in the gazebo out in the garden.
The huge gate made of iron swing open as a known car drove in and stopped at the entrance. Diego took a look at his watch, "earlier than expected" he muttered.
Bernardo Moretti hopped out of the car and immediately dashed into the house as if he was late while the chauffeur helped him with his luggage.
Chandra must have told him about the postponed visit of Gabriella and Diego's accident. About ten minutes later, Bernardo came out to the garden and walked towards Diego wearing a concerned look on his face. Just like any other father, Bernardo asked Diego about the bandage on his head and his right leg.
"Your mother told me you met in an accident" Bernardo took a seat opposite Diego.
"You heard that right" Diego sat his cup on the table and poured a cup for his father.
"How did that happen?" Bernardo sipped the tea and waited for an answer.
Diego went on to narrate how the accident happened and skipped the part why he did not pay attention to his surroundings. He was also contemplating within to ask about D'Luca to his father but choose to ask in a day or two.
"You have to be more careful, son. Your mother and I won't be able to bare if anything unfortunate happens to you." Bernardo stood and patted Diego's shoulder before he walked back in.
Carefully limping towards the house, Bernardo's chauffeur walked out of the garage. "Need help, Diego?"
"Yes, please" Diego looked at Glenn with a pitiful face. Glenn nodded and helped Diego back to his room.
"Anything else you'll need help with?" Glenn asked once Diego was comfortably sat on the couch by the window. Diego looked out the window thoughtfully, the weather was good but he wasn't going be allowed to go out so, making use of Glenn at the moment would be right.
'Time to check on dad'
"Please sit, Glenn. I'm bored, let's talk" Diego gestured Bernardo's chauffeur to sit on the couch next to him.
Diego started off with casual talk asking him about weather the job and working hours is fine for him, his family and kids. Diego asked quite a lot of stuffs and got information on those he wasn't even interested in, yet these talks were necessary.
"So, Glenn. What time was dad's flight today?"
"The flight landed around six" he answered.
"Six? Why did he get home four hours later? The airport isn't that far from here, right?"
"Mr. Moretti had a meeting at Brera. So, he was there for about two hours before we left back to Milan"
"Brera?" Diego's mind trailed off to the warehouse where Demetrio was shot dead. "Where in Brera?"
"Hotel Milano"
'Hotel Milano and the warehouse... Does dad really have something to do with Uncle D's death? Does he have any relationship with D'Luca? No. No, it can't be. These two places aren't nearby. Moreover, dad goes to Brera for meetings before too. It must be coincident' Diego brush those thoughts off and soon had set Glenn free from his interrogation.
