SAO drabbles ~

Wedding ~ chapter 4

I clear my throat as I look into her hazel eyes.

There she stood, looking at me with such a loving gaze that made my chest tighten with warm feelings. 

"Asuna-" I begin. 

Asuna nods at me softly, blushing all the same as I was. 

"I-I remember when we first met back in SAO, when you were known as the vice commander of the Knights of Blood oath a-and- 

Asuna continues nodding, indicating for me to continue. 

"Like I was saying, I never really knew you back then, I never thought we'd partner up and become friends as we did...but...we became more than that and from then on, I knew I couldn't live without you. You taught me what its like to want to protect someone, to love someone, to risk it all for someone...and that someone was you, Asuna. I'm nothing without you... I'm not sure how you kept up with my certain...t-tendencies of attracting girls, b-but...I want you to know that at the end of the day, I only think of one person, which is YOU. I love you more than life itself Asuna...I meant what I said when we first kissed that one time in SAO, my life really does belong to you, Asuna Yuuki...and I'd still give it up for you, in a heartbeat."

By now, I saw Asuna tear up and reached out to wipe her tear. I then gently cupped her cheek as she leaned against my hand. 

"K-Kirito..."

"I'm not done just yet..." I reply within a soft whisper. 

I continue - 

"Asuna, you've always found me when I'm somewhere else and protect me even when you're the one who needs the protection. It's either you love me so much or you just can't get enough of me...I mean, just think of everything that happened during  Underworld..." 

I laugh at my own joke, hoping Asuna would also. 

She laughs, as well as the crowd. 

"No, jokes aside, I love you, always have and always will, which is why I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, by your side, always. By being my bride, you've made me the happiest man alive, Asuna...both in this world and whatever world we live in together. I can't thank you enough for loving me Asuna."

As I finish my speech, the crowd roars with applause.

Asuna, who is now sniffling into my palm, throws herself into my arms and wraps her arms around me tightly. 

I hold onto her tightly after slightly stumbling from the impact of her sudden embrace. 

The crowd coo at our hug and laugh also. 

I sigh deeply, placing one of my arms around Asuna's waist and the other around her head. 

She whispers to me. 

"Kirito?"

I smile like a dork at this point, almost forming a cat mouth expression. 

"Y-Yeah?"

"I love you..."

The same chest tightening sensation I once felt returns at that moment, within that comment. 

I chuckle softly, bracing her waist with both arms wrapped around, making it easier for me to look at her.

She smiles and blushes at me. Her beautiful eyes sparkling at me, widening as I caress her cheek. I knew she wanted to shed happy tears and wanted to kiss me right there within our embrace, but was holding herself back. 

If only she knew how badly I wanted to kiss her. 

 My hand ended up stroking her cheek as I leaned my head on her forehead. 

We both blushed while smiling and closing our eyes. 

"Kirito, I love you~" 

I say nothing. 

Asuna repeats it once more.

I chuckle softly, grinning and I reply. 

 "I know..."
