Alice vs Asuna - chapter 4

I decided to brave the situation finally and somehow found the courage to walk up to my crying girlfriend who was currently being embraced by my sister.

If anything is to be fixed or said the time is now.

I kneel down towards Asuna and reach out to grab her hand softly.

To my surprise and terror, she pulls her hand away before I could, looking at me in disgust, anger, disappointment and pure sadness.

"A-Asuna I-

Alice decides to interrupt me yet again.

Where is her off switch? I need to know. Someone please turn her off, or even better yet, mute her for a while so I can make my amends!

Alice casually walks up to Asuna.

Alice, please leave us alone." Suguha orders.

Alice ignores my sister's orders ( it's not the first time she's done that) and proceeds to talk, despite Suguha's strict orders.

"Asuna."

I watch as Asuna does not respond to Alice and hugs my sister tightly, still sobbing.

Alice continues,

"Asuna, are you sad because I tried to kiss Kirito?"

"Alice, why would you ask her that!? It's pretty goddam obvious that she's crying because of what you tried to do!"

I thought I had said that in my head, but I thought wrong.

Alice looks at me with widened eyes. Asuna finally sits up and looks at me, also with her eyes widened.

Suguha gasps and sits there in shock. 

Her frown turns into anger.

"You tried to kiss Kazuto, knowing that he's with Asuna!?"

Alice blinks a few times after Suguha's yelling. I'm guessing she was trying to process what Suguha had said.

She blinks once more.

Suguha gently rests Asuna on the side of the sofa, gets up from the sofa and stands in front of Alice, with anger painted on her face.

"Well, answer me already!"

To Suguha's horror, Alice simply nods.

"...Yes, I tried to kiss Kazuto."

My heart sinks.
