SAO drabbles ~

Asuna's expecting | chapter one

It was a miserable Monday in Tokyo University, rain poured downwards the glass windows in the homeroom.

Gathered by a table were a group of friends, consisting of different personalities.

The rebel, mischievous one out of the five friends spoke.

The group consisted of Keiko, the youngest girl, at only fifteen years of age, followed by Suguha, Asada, and Rika, who was the eldest in the group. 

"Alrighty guys, what should we make our new order about?"

"Rika, we've already made so many new changes already!" whined Keiko, tugging her friend's sleeve.

"Oh my dearest Keiko, you forget that as club president, I get to decide what we do next!"

"Isn't this Kazuto's club?" Asada says while smirking and crossing her arms at Rika. 

"O-Of course i-it's- I-I  know it's his-"

In an instant and lost for words, Rika sits down, blushing furiously, pouting her cheeks in silence. 

"Ok, I'll bite, what's your idea?" Suguha replies, leaning over to Rika from the opposite end of the table, in pure interest.

Rika kicks her feet up on the table, grinning mischievously.

"Thank you, my dear friend, Suguha, I propose...we pull a prank!"

All the girls turn to Rika in silence, looking at her with deadpan faces.

Suguha facepalms herself while Asada kicks Rika's legs off the table.

"A-A prank?" Inquires Keiko, nervously

"A prank on who exactly?" Replies Asada with a raised eyebrow. 

Rika clears her throat nervously.

"Well, who else do we know that would take the bait so well?" 

Keiko raises her hand slightly while commenting. 

"Maybe Asuna?" 

Rika takes a moment to consider the idea, raising her hand to her chin in a thinking pose,  then dismisses it altogether, shaking her head.

"Nah, Asuna might see through it, also, she'll definitely kill me if she finds out it was a prank..."

Rika shudders in her seat at the thought of Asuna being angry at her, giving her one of Asuna's famous death stares, before standing up once more. 

"I've got it, we'll play a prank on the president of this club itself, Kir-"

Suguha stands up in an instant, slamming her hands on the table.

"If you're going to mention Kazuto, don't you dare finish that sentence, Rika!"

Rika flails her arms in a nervous panic as Suguha gives her a deathly stare.

"I-I see you picked up on Asuna's signature stare?"

Suguha nods proudly and smiles, before sitting back down.

In a quiet voice, Rika decides to troop on with her idea proposal.

"Let's prank Kazuto while using Asuna to do it for us!"

The three girls turn to Rika once more, all sighing the same time.

"Rika!" they yell in unison

"How...would that even work, using Asuna to be the one to prank Kazuto?" Asada says with a raised eyebrow.

"A-Asada, don't encourage her!" yelled Keiko from the top of her lungs. 

"What can I say?, I'm curious..."

Rika leans forward on the table, clasping her hands together.

"Well- how about..we record Asuna...saying she's pregnant?"

The three girls burst into laughter.

"Y-You can't be serious, Rika, ahaha!"

"You're seriously dangerous" chuckled Asada.

"I-I'm being serious!"

"N-no way my brother would fall for that!" Suguha replied while giggling.

"Listen, we record Asuna talking about pregnancy somehow, edit that and send it to Kazuto somehow, it's sure to work!"

Asada stops laughing and looks at Rika with a curious look on her face.

"Alright, but...why?"

"T-To make sure Kazuto and Asuna both have a sense of humor of course..."

"For friendship?" Keiko replies

"Yeah, of course!" Rika says, with a smug look on her face.

"But how would we get Asuna to come to our club and-"

By sheer luck, Asuna appears by the door at that moment.

As Suguha sees Asuna by the door, she raises a finger to speak then sits back down.

Asuna approaches the girls, smiling.

"Hey girls, sorry to interpret your meeting, but have you seen Kirito anywhere?"

Rika uses this moment as an opportunity for her prank to commence.

"He's upstairs doing computer maintenance for some teachers, but while you're here, we could desperately use your help!"

Asuna sits beside the girls on a free chair.

"Sure, I'm happy to help."

Rika fist bumps the air and whispers "YES!" under her breath before alerting Suguha by poking her and trying to signal Suguha that she was going to need her attention in a second.

"So basically, Suguha decided to take up studying Health and Social care this year, and-"

Suguha jumps startled slightly from suddenly being mentioned. "I-I did?"

Rika grits her teeth at Suguha before turning back to Asuna.

"Yes, she did, and would love to have your help on a certain topic she's currently stuck on."

Asuna nods then turns to the direction of  Suguha.
