The extent of Asuna's love ~ chapter 7

I sat beside Asuna who was looking at the doctor with doubt.

The doctor sat beside the edge of Asuna's bed.

"Miss Yuuki, the results are rather...interesting."

Asuna turns her head to me as we look at each other in confusion, then back at the doctor.

While the doctor looks back on Asuna's notes, I interrupt his thoughts.

"What do you mean by interesting?" 

"Well, it seems that Asuna fainted, is that correct?"

"Yes, I suddenly fainted."

"And could you possibly recall the time before you fainted?"

I open my mouth to speak in concern. 

I don't want her to re-live that day.

Asuna nods sheepishly.

"O-of course doctor."

I squeeze her hand to let her know I'm with her and whisper to her.

"Asuna, you don't have to do this."

"Kir- Kazuto, I'll be fine..."

"A-alright." 

As our hands entwine together, we both face the doctor. 

The doctor nods at us both in understanding and prepares his notebook to take notes.

Asuna starts describing her flashback.

"That day, I remember I had come from school to take a few blood tests."

"What was the blood tests for, Miss Yuuki?" 

"I-I think it was to check how my body is doing after my....long coma rest..."

The doctor clears his throat.

"By saying 'coma', are you referring to RATH?" 

Asuna nods slowly. 

"After the blood test, I remember I was ordering a coffee while still in the hospital, when I phoned up Ki-I mean Kazuto, feeling dizzy and then...it's all a blur."

"Well, that's all I need to know."
