The rain poured heavily onto the crimson coloured battlefield. Ronye watched in amazement as the floor beside her had split into two. A bright light had emerged from beneath the split ground and was now vaporizing Ronye's enemy before her very eyes.

Ronye notices a second light flash from above. From within the light, a shadow descends towards her.

"Is that!?"

The figure lands on the ground in front of her, the light slowly fading, revealing a swordsman dressed in black.

Ronye takes a step back as she stares at the swordsman.

The black swordsman looks up at Ronye, with a serious expression plastered onto his face.

Ronye flinches slightly at this, before clearing her throat to speak.

"W-who are you?"

The black swordsman raises his sword in front of him before speaking.

"I should be asking you that question."

Ronye flails her arms around nervously.

"I-I didn't mean to intrude! I just wanted to thank you for saving me, t-that's all!"

The swordsman returns his sword to its sheath, before clearing his throat to speak.

"I'm looking for Asuna, do you know where she is?" he asks with a stern expression.

Ronye's eyes widen in surprise at the fact the mysterious figure knew who her dear Asuna-senpai  was.

"W-what do you want with Asuna?"

The swordsman softens his expression and looks at Ronye with pleading eyes.

"Please, please tell me where she is!" he begs as tears form in his eyes.

Ronye takes a moment to think.

While thinking, she recalls hearing about the tale of a god so powerful, also known as the god of night, Nyx. He was known for protecting the dwellers of the night and drew his powers from the moon.

Ronye stares in awe, upon realization.

"You're the God of the Night, Nyx..."

The swordsman nods his head.

Ronye takes a step forward.

"I-I know where Asuna is...I can take you to her if you'd like, Sir Nyx."

The swordsman nods eagerly, upon hearing Ronye's reply.

"Please, take me to her."

Ronye takes the swordsman's hand and leads him to the wooden carriage where Asuna was residing in.

Kirito slowly stepped into the wooden carriage.

He slowly closed the door shut behind him.

He hears the sound of a chair creaking in the corner, enveloped in darkness.

"Huh?"

He lets out a soft gasp only to be greeted with more of a shock as he decides to follow the direction of the creak.

As he explores the cabin further in the darkness, he freezes as he hears another creak.

His eyes widen as he comes across a familiar figure, sitting in a wooden wheelchair.

Her long chestnut hair reaches past the sides of the chair while her hazel eyes remain hollow and empty. All life that was once present in Asuna's body, was nowhere to be seen or found.
