SAO drabbles ~

Asuna's magic carpet ride | PART 3

I held onto the tails of my carpet once again, gestured for the carpet to fly straight upwards into the clouds as I turned to the princess and sang.

Prince Kazu: 

" I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us "No"
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming..."

As our eyes met once more, the princess smiles to me in a mischevious way before spreading out her arms, whooping with joy as the carpet whizzed around Egyptian pyramids and wide. crystal oceans.  

Princess Asuna:

"A whole new world-
A dazzling place I never knew
But now from way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you..."

"Unbelievable sights-
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky..."

Above the greek coliseums and the Eiffel tower, I turn to my princess who was pre-occupied with the view. 

"Oh Prince Kazu, it's so amazing being up here! It really is a whole new world, just like you said it would be!"

I smile and nod, before smirking.

"If you think this is good, then you better hang on princess!"

With that, I signaled my carpet do perform an upwards loop, as the princess hung onto my arm for dear life, cheering and laughing at the same time.  

We both continue singing as the princess clutches my arm. 

Princess Asuna:

"A whole new world!" 

Prince Kazu: 

"Don't you dare close your eyes!" 

Princess Asuna: 

"A hundred thousand things to see!"

Prince Kazu:

"Hold your breath—it gets better!"

Princess Asuna:

"I'm like a shooting star, I've come so far, I can't go back to where I used to be..."

Prince Kazu: 

"A whole new world-"

Princess Asuna:

"Every turn a surprise!"

Prince Kazu:

"With new horizons to pursue-

Princess Asuna:

Every moment red-letter!"

Both of them: 

"I'll chase them anywhere, there's time to spare, let me share this whole new world with you..."

In that instant, we both face one another, looking deeply into each other's eyes, our minds, and hearts connected as one as we sing the last lines of the song.

Prince Kazu: 

"A whole new world...that's where we'll be...

A thrilling chase,"

Princess Asuna:

"A wondrous place!"

both of them:

"For you and me..." 

We gently glide into the night sky together as Asuna rests her head on my shoulder and sighs happily. I smile as I glance down and see the princess close to me as we disappear into Tokrabah's night sky.
