SAO drabbles ~

Alice's Christmas kiss | Alice x Eugeo

While tinsel was spread around the floor in colorful strands, the cabin radiated with bright lights that hung above branches.

At last, the tree was up, meaning that the blond-haired boy could take a breather after spending thirty minutes or so sorting out a Christmas tree he had picked out with his favorite person, all for his cute niece.

As the boy got up to start decorating the tree with blue, red,  black and yellow baubles, his favorite person appears logged on just in time to help out.

Turning his head to her direction with a big smile and small blush, the young Romeo wastes no time in greeting her and filling her in what he was up to.

"Alice!"

"Hello, Eugeo."

The blond-haired girl peers around the cabin while Eugeo rummages around a cardboard box near the tree.

He walks up to Alice and kneels down to her as a knight would, while holding a yellow bauble in his hand.

"Lady Alice, please accept this bauble as a gift of my affections to put upon the tree..."

As Eugeo's request had made him blush, Alice could not help but giggle at the way Eugeo was acting.

"A-ah yes, of course..."

Slowly approaching the tree, Alice kneeled to the branch of her choice and placed her bauble on a branch near one of Eugeo's blue ones.

The blue baubles represented Eugeo as it was his favorite color and the yellow ones represented Alice since she often wore yellow a lot.

Eugeo watched her do so in awe, just the sight of her beautiful pale fingers wrapped around the ribbon of the bauble made him blush and weak at the knees.

He was in love with an angel.

Alice softy places the decoration onto the tree, smiling softly to herself, she turns back to a blushing Eugeo who quickly turns his head the opposite direction once realizing she knew he was looking at her.

"Eugeo?"

"Y-Yes A-Alice?" he says with a nervous stutter, which she secretly found adorable. It was one of the things that made Eugeo who he was, just a brave, cute, nervous and loyal friend, or in Alice's case, maybe more. 

but...could there be something more between them?..after all, Alice may have a crush on Eugeo and knows for sure he likes her the same way but Alice couldn't help wondering if their personalities match together. Eugeo was like an open book in terms of expressing his emotions but Alice, she was more of a reserved person who hides how they feel and trusts little to no one until she thinks they know her well enough, she was a fighter and leader and to her Eugeo was....like a cute little puppy who was brave in his own way, but more or less cute. 

While Eugeo continues to look at Alice with a flustered expression and doing his best to hide any signs of nervousness, trying to act cool,  he watches as Alice points to a yellow bauble on the tree, the one she had just added to the branch.

"Eugeo, what is this called?" says Alice in all her innocence, not knowing what the object she had just held in her hand was called.  She had simply mimicked Eugeo's action once she logged in, placing the mysterious round object onto a tree while wondering why she did so. 

Eugeo softly smiles, knowing how Alice's knowledge of the real world is slightly limited as she was still familiarizing herself with how the real world works, being raised in a virtual world as an experiment and all. Even if they were both currently logged online in an MMORPG game, it counted as reality since they would do the same custom of decorating a tree in reality.
