Asuna meets Miki! | Kirito's accidental virtual waifu! | part 3

Asuna looks away from Kazuto as he falls to the sofa, looking deflated.

He sighs in exhaustion and worry as he watches her sit beside him. 

Kazuto bolts upright and leans closer to Asuna. 

"N-Now you get it, right? A-Asuna, I-I'd never cheat on you..."

Asuna sits in silence while clutching the ends of her skirt in confusion. 

"K-Kirito..."

"Y-Yeah, A-Asuna?"

"S-so you're telling me...that the girl upstairs..."

"A-Asuna..."

"...w-who was about to k-kiss y-you...is from a dating simulator that Klein gave you last Christmas?"

"Y-yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but you have to believe me, Asuna..."

She sighs and faces him, her saddened eyes meet his. 

"A-Asuna?"

"I-I'm so confused!"

"I-I know it's a lot to take in!...b-believe me..."

After a few minutes of silence between the two, Asuna sighs. 

"A-Asuna..."

Kazuto stands up and kneels down in front of Asuna, softly holding her shoulders, looking into her eyes. 

She looks up at him. 

"I would NEVER cheat on you...I love you, Asuna, only YOU."

He looks into her eyes, as they fill with tears. 

"K-Kirito..." Asuna reaches out to him and wipes his eyes. 

"A-Asuna...I-I'm sorry..." 

Kazuto clenches his teeth. 

Asuna shakes her head and smiles at him. 

He watches as she softly rests her forehead on his. 

"I love you too, Kirito...I'm sorry...I know you'll never cheat on me..."

Kazuto closes his eyes as their foreheads touch. 

After a few seconds, Asuna looks at Kazuto, crossing her arms. 

He flinches. 

"I want to meet the girl who tried to kiss my boyfriend..."

"Y-You do?"

"Yes, I do."

"A-Asuna?"

"I just want to have a word with her, Kirito."

"A-Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"K-Kirito!"

"I-I meant...I'll go get her!"

Asuna nods firmly as Kazuto is about to make his way to the stairs. 

"No need, I'm right here!" Miki says while jumping up from behind the sofa. 

"!!!"

Both Kazuto and Asuna jump from being startled.

Kazuto catches Asuna in his arms as she's about to fall. 

Asuna looks at Kazuto with widened eyes as he holds her in his arms. 

"K-Kirito..."

"Y-You okay?"
