Asuna's magic carpet ride | PART 1

I lept off her balcony and heard her gasp.

"Wait!"

Asuna runs up to the balcony to check if I'm alright.

I suddenly appear, tilting my head, pretending to look confused.

"You called?"

Asuna's eyes widen in shock and confusion as I let out a grin from her response.

I wanted to leave her speechless, which she was.

"W-wha?...how?...is that a?"

"Flying carpet?" I say, pointing to the carpet that had glided upwards into view.

"What do you say we get out of here, Princess?" I lean towards the princess as the carpet glides beside her.

"I suppose it would be nice...to see the world..."

My eyes meet with Asuna's as I look into her hazel eyes deeply.

"Princess, it's a whole new world out there..."

Asuna's eyes glisten. "Is it really, Prince Kazu?"

I nod and smile warmly as I hold out my hand to her.

"Princess, come with me, just for a bit..."

Asuna giggles quietly to herself before looking at the night sky of Tokrabah in front of her.

"I-I shouldn't, a princess late out at this time, I must focus on my people and father's wishes...besides, you're only trying to make me fall for you, aren't you, Prince Kazu?" She replies, crossing her arms at me.

"That depends, is it working?"

"Is what working?"

"The YOU falling for ME part..." I say, grinning.

Asuna sighs in annoyance then heads towards her bedroom door.

"Princess wait! Just give me a chance!"

I watch as Asuna reaches for her door handle then hesitantly stops doing so.

I signal for my carpet to fly closer to Asuna.

"Princess, what better way is there to see your people and the life of Tokrabah then on a flying carpet, with your own handsome chauffeur, might I add?"

After a moment of silence, she turns to me. 

Her eyes meet mine.

I hold out my hand once more, fixated on the beauty she radiated.

"Do you trust me?"

"...w-what did you say?" She replies, slightly dazed.

The carpet glides close to the princess, close enough for me to pull her safely onto the carpet from her balcony banister.

"Do you trust me?" I say, grinning once more as I do so.

Without any hesitance, as Asuna nods, her hand slips into mine.

"Yes..."

I take her hand and help her onto the carpet. I watch as she seats herself comfortably and keep my hand behind her back to keep her safe and make sure she doesn't fall off.

As she eyes the view in amazement, I smile at her once more.

"Isn't it beautiful up here, Princess?"

"Oh Yes, I never knew the view could be so amazing from this high up!"

I smile while grabbing the tassels on edge of each corner of the carpet.

"Trust me, Princess, this is just the beginning!"

The carpet whooshes into the night, the starry sky as Asuna's laughter resonates through the air.

I loved her laugh.

I loved her smile.

I loved her.
