Alice vs Asuna - chapter 10

Asuna and I both look into each other's eyes.

"Asuna, I had no idea you felt this way about Alice...why didn't you say anything to me? You know we can talk about anything right?"

Asuna nods, embarrassed and weak.

"I-I didn't know how to say all that, because  I-

"I'm...I'm your husband Asuna, it's my job to worry about you..." 

She looks at me with a confused expression.

Crap! Why did I even mention being her husband when she's too jealous about Alice acting like my wife!? God, I'm such an idiot!

"T-That's not what I-"

"I-I know that now!"

"B-but Kirito, I-

"N-nevermind what I just said! Ignore me! just carry on with whatever you were saying!"

Asuna inhales then exhales and looks away from me.

"A-Asuna?..."

Not this again! Asuna please, look at me!

"I...I'm jealous..." she murmured.

"O-of Alice?"

"Yes! I-I'm jealous of Alice!" This time she says that while grabbing my shoulders and looking into my eyes.

"B-but why though?"

"Y-you're seriously asking me why?"

"Ermm y-yeah." I nod, seriously. 

"I-it's because Alice isn't your wife, yet she seems to think otherwise! Does she not notice our in-game rings?"

"I get it..."

"O-or the fact we have a DAUGHTER named Yui?"

"Asuna, she's- 

"O-or how about the fact that all those years ago I cooked for you, I fought with you in battles, I even nursed you when needed and still do all that now!"

I decide to continue listening to Asuna without interrupting.

"I know she nursed you back to health for two years during the time that you were.... 'wheelchair-bound', but that gives her no right to act the way she does! She has no right to even have romantic feelings for you and worst of all...she tried to kiss you!"

Asuna's anger turns into sobs.

I'm sick of watching her sob because of my doing. Perhaps I've been treating Alice a little too friendly and let her get away with things that... she shouldn't get away with.

"Asuna!"

With that said, I hold Asuna's shoulder as she looks at me and pull her into a kiss.

It was a deep kiss.

It was as if we were taken back in the Aincrad Canyons where Asuna and I had our first kiss there.

As we both pull back for air, Asuna looks at me, blushing furiously yet still with her saddened eyes.

"K-Kirito..."

"Asuna, I love you and only you. Alice...is just a close friend of mine, she's like a sister to me... just an older sister. How can I have feelings for anyone if I already have feelings for you?..."

Still knelt down beside Asuna, I bow to her.

She looks at me, confused.

"W-What are you doing?"
