SAO drabbles ~

The return of Johnny Black | part four

Kazuto stands there frozen as Asuna's lifeless body lays in front of him. 

He gasps in shock and rushes to her side, kneeling down in the puddle of blood.

Practically in tears, he yells her name. 

"Asuna!!!"

She doesn't respond. 

Kazuto's eyes widen as he softly holds Asuna's limp body in his arms. 

"No! Speak to me, Asuna!" 

After a few minutes of silence, Asuna slowly opens her eyes.

Kazuto gasps and slowly wipes his tears.

Asuna lets out a soft grunt. 

"A-Asuna..."

She looks at Kazuto and notices blood on him and that he was crying. 

"K-Kirito...w-what happened?"

"Asuna, you were hurt..."

"I was h-hurt?"

Kazuto nods and clenches his teeth in anger. 

Asuna's eyes widen.

"I-is that my blood on you?!"

Kazuto looks into her eyes and nods slowly. 

While Asuna tears up in a panic as Kazuto holds her, she watches as Kazuto tears off a piece of material from his clothing and softly tie it around her head to stop the bleeding. 

"It's alright Asuna, I've got you..."

Kazuto slowly helps Asuna stand up while holding onto her tightly. 

She clenches her teeth in pain as she stands upright. 

"Let's get you to the hospital, Asuna."

"T-there's no time, Kirito... we need to get out of here..."

"But Asuna!-"

"Kirito, I'll be fine for now...it's not safe here..."

"A-are you sure, Asuna?"

Asuna nods at Kazuto slowly.

"Okay, in that case, I know where we'll be safe."

Kazuto makes his way to where his bike was parked with Asuna, holding onto her as she walked.

"We made it."

He smiles at Asuna but then frowns as he sees her growing weaker.

"Asuna, are you sure you're alright?"

Asuna takes a few deep breaths, then nods firmly at him.

Of course, she wasn't ok, she was far from it.

Kazuto knew this all too well but realized she was deliberately avoiding going to the hospital because she could be followed by whoever attacked her in the first place.

They both needed to go somewhere where no one would never think of looking.

Kazuto helps Asuna onto the back of his bike by slowly lifting her up bridal style in his arms, making sure to not put any extra pressure on her head wound.

Once Asuna was sat on the bike, Kazuto gets on it and makes sure Asuna's arms are safely wrapped around him. He goes the extra mile to add padding to her helmet to make sure the pressure of the helmet would not hurt her head.

He really did love her.

"Hold on tight to me, Asuna."

"I'll do my best, Kirito..."
