The Rule Number 22

CHAPTER 55:

After ng klase pumunta ako ng library to return a book. There's something wrong here. Is it me or both Isaiah and Simon have a problem. They didn't even greet me for some reason even yesterday. 

"Saia" Phil whispers then grab my arm and ask to follow him. 

"Sorry I can't come with you today, there's something came up"

"What? But we planned this 2 weeks ago"

"Sorry bestie. I'll promise babawi ako. Right now, I have to do my task ha? Sige kita nalang tayo tomorrow" then he walks fast pulling the library cart

What's gotten into him? I return the book to Gen whose as silent as always.

He ignored me. Why? Phil didn't even greet me It's tuesday now December 3. My 18th birthday unfortunately. Even Gen ignored me, one of the few whose asking my plans 3 weeks ago. Even Isaiah and Simon runs over to pratice basketball, Megan was on her rehearsals and Ichi? Didn't bother to greet me, well we have this so called Love Quarrel and yeah I ignored him since yesterday. My family didn't speak a word, they left our house an hour before I woke up. They left a note on the fridge and says 'Happy Bithday, sorry we can't celebrate with you today. We'll promise to be with you on weekends love yah'. 

Nakakatampo naman ang mga tao dito. Yung iba ko lang kaklase yung bumati sakin, well I guess it's better than nothing ikanga. Dumaan nga din ako sa simbahan kanina before heading to school. Maaga pa naman ang uwian namin ngayon, san ako pupunta? Celebrate mag isa? Nga-nga? Tambay sa bench till the sun sets. Till the sun ends this stupid day. I feel so worthless, I just want to cry. I walk fast, straight to Ichi's private garden, to what you ask? To cry I guess. Pero pagtambay ko dito, naka indian sit lang ako at tahimik na naglaro ng PSVita ko. Dinala ko sya kasi alam ko malalaro ko to today. Nako why bother? Edi maglalaro na lang ako ng tekken vs street fighter. I throw my bag near me ako lang naman ang nandito eh. Kahit medyo lame pwede nato. Pampalipas oras. Maya maya pa may nakita akong sobre sa taas ng puno.

I wonder what it is. I tip toe at eksakto lang sa pag tiad ko yung branch so naabot ko sya agad.

Sinilip ko muna sya na parang nanghuhula sa number ng puting papel yung sa sisiw. May laman, then I saw my name. Huh?

I open it and saw a letter. I read it and says

Good day. You want to play a game? Follow my instructions to retrieve your precious things.

Nung lumingun-lingon ako at napatakbo ako sa pinaglagyan ko ng bag ko

"Anak ng!" yung bag ko asan na?

Then I saw another envelope where I leave my bag.

Saia is a girl who didn't complete a week not borrowing a book. A smart girl who wants to learn in advance. Wear her sweetest smile when she was returning an over due book. Swerte mo ako lagi tumatapat pag nagsosoli ka. Enjoy this wonderful day and Godbless. I just want to apologize for everything, I'll explain to you later. Happy Birthday!

Alam ko na kung san ako pupunta. I run through the library and saw an envelope on the iron gate and open it. Ano ba to papahirapan ba ako ng nag gawa nito? Pag nakita ko talaga ang may gawa nito, kuko lang ang walang latay

 Happy birthday !! I love you girl! Wag magbabago, this is where you start your new journey. Remember the time when you mistook me for an angel? Hahahaha it was cute actually kung boylet akesh kaso wita ako boylet so yackydoodle sya ng kontiii hahaha. Anyways I love you Saia Marie even your always calling me in my full name sometimes at nasasabunutan kita. The time when your first prince charming ay inaway ako?.........

The letter was cut and I know who wrote this and where can I find the next one.

I run through the infirmary and saw a letter on the corner of the door. I open it and barely know who wrote it

Hey Saia! Happy birthday! Ano bang sasabihin ko sayo? Patangkad ka ha? Hahaha joke lang baka sikmuraan mo nanaman ako. Anyways thanks for being my little ate sometimes, you're always looking at our bags pag binibili ka namin ng pagkain, always reminding me of this and that I appreciate that hindi lang halata. So yeah thank you and happy birthday God bless you always

I run through the food court na may mga konti pang nakatambay at binabay ang tables. I stop on Mang Alex's place at napalingon sa table na exclusive for ISIDRO RODRIGUEZ at nakita ko yung nakasipit na sobre.

Hey Sis Saia happy birthday! How's your day? I hope you enjoy this day.. I hope you discover your talent some other time and if that time comes? Audition ka ha? Your beauty and brains will lead you to your new journey, goodluck on your new journey happy birthday and Godbless

As if I am enjoying this stupid play. Napapagod na ko noh!! Tumakbo naman ako sa RSC Theater at nakita ang letter sa may hawakan ng pinto.

Hey Saia happy birthday this piece of paper is not enough to express how happy I am to have you as one of my precious friends. I will  treasure you and promise to take care of you like Kuya Shaquil do. Thank you for taking care of us as well and hope to be friends forever. Wag ka magbabago, stay the way you are. If there's a problem and you want a friend to lean on? You know who you can call. God bless you

This letter was the sweetest one but I didn't get the logic of it. Ano bang pwedeng keyword. paper? Nakadaan na ko ng library eh, treasure? Where? sa Oval? Sa kweba? Sa cashier? Hmmmm Lean? Lean? LEAN!!! Ano bang pwede sa lean? Sandalan, upuan. Classroom? Pero sarado na halos lahat ng classrooms eh, ano pa? Isip Saia...... 

BENCH!! Pero wala namang sandalan ang bench, okay I'll just try my luck on this one.

I run through the hall way para tingnan din yung mga benches, I saw a white envelope on one of the benches with my bag.

Did you enjoy the game? Well you can go home now, congratulations smarty pants! Here's your reward.

I grab my bag at tinabi lahat ng nakuha kong sulat and walk home. What was that all about? It doesn't make sense. I shook my head and ride a jeep to go home.

"Anyare? Ano kaya naman daw yun? Pinagod lang ako! Hay!!" 

Pagdating ko ng subdivision, naglakad nalang ako. Iniisip parin kung para san ba yung kanina.

I open the gate at nagulat ako sa may stepping stones na papunta sa backyard. May white and blue roses. Ang ganda! Then I saw a mail box na basta lang ata naitayo at may nakalagay na tiara at may message 'happy birthday Princess'. Kinuha ko yung tiara at yung sulat and follow the rosy path. Watching my black shoes to step on the rosy path makes me wonder what this is all about don't tell me they are planning to.........
