CHAPTER XXXIX

October

I have been a little anxious at the drive back to my dorm. Every bump Niall hits, every beeping of the horn someone made or anything really made me jump. It was concerning all of them but they have put on a fake smile for me to not feel any more anxious than I already was.

"I'll be fine here guys. Thank you." I said exiting the car. I wanted time for myself but I wasn't sure if I was going to be fine.

"Nope, you're staying with us until you have fully recovered. We're just here to get your things." Zayn said from the back seat.

"No buts Venus." Perrie said noticing my urge to protest. "I am the one who's going to go upstairs. Tell me what you need and I'll get it. There is no bloody way I am tiring you out."

"Um, okay." I sighed, not bothering to put up a fight, mainly because I was exhausted and just wanted to lie down. "I trust your fashion skills so you can get whatever clothes and shoes you think I need, there's a suitcase under my bed and um my school bag is right by my desk, can you get that and my laptop please?"

"Got it, love." Perrie kissed my cheek before hopping out the car with Zayn in tow after me handing her my keys. It surprised me that the man didn't rob me because I obviously still have my phone, wallet and keys with me.

"I will kill that bloody wanker when I see him." Niall said after a minute of silence. It was no secret that everyone was pissed off at Louis but Niall was the first one to make a comment about it.

"Maybe he has a reason you know? I don't want to over think about it." I said rubbing my forehead with my left hand.

"Whatever his reason may be, it will not be valid because her girlfriend was almost fucking raped and he was nowhere to be found." I cringed at the word rape and Niall noticed. "I'm sorry. It's just this is fucking making me mad."

"I know. We just have to wait for him and see what he has to say. But right now, I'm just thankful I have you guys." I smiled in attempt to ease the red-faced Niall beside me.

Silence engulfed us both, the sound of a song on the radio refraining silence from deafening us. A few minutes later, Perrie and Zayn showed up with my black suitcase in hand and my school bag.

The ride to their house was quiet. Fortunately, my anxiousness died down a little bit as I only flinched once. I could see the huge violet bruise on my neck and my collar bone with the V-neck I was wearing and the bruises on my face that I didn't know where I got. I nonchalantly fixed my jacket so it covered the bruise but Perrie noticed as she shot me a sympathetic smile through the mirror that I returned.

"Would you like to stay at Louis room or the guest room?" Perrie asked as soon as we entered the house.

"Um, the guest room if that's okay with you." Maybe staying in the guest room will do me good; at least I can pretend I am in a different house, not my boyfriend's house minus the boyfriend. Do you get me?

"Okay, I'll fix it for you." I was about to object and say I can do it but Perrie has this warning look on her face that made me just nod slowly.

As I was about to plop myself down the couch, the front door busted open and there stood my boyfriend in his jersey.

"Where have you been?" He asked me. "What happened to your face?"

"You have the nerve to ask her that." I was about to reply but someone already beat me to it, that someone being Zayn. "Where the bloody fuck where you, mate?!"
