CHAPTER XLIX

April (four months later)

To say I was massive was a huge understatement.

I am now six months pregnant and going to do a gender reveal for my parents and siblings on the weekend when Harry and Gemma comes down from London.

They have been hands on, especially Harry, as he comes down every weekend to check up on me and his future niece or nephew.

My mum and dad are over the moon, even though they have suffered because of my weird mood swings.

They have already cleared out the guest bedroom for my baby. The walls were white and I was happy to be finally working on the décor when the gender will be revealed.

I was alone in our house, my parents left for work two hours ago and our housekeeper was on her day off. My parents were not too keen on that day off since I was getting huge and have been getting cramps and weird pain which was normality in the period of pregnancy. It scared me at first but my mum assured me it was normal and she was a doctor after all, so I trusted her.

The huge bowl of popcorn and whipped cream was perch on top of my belly as I watch reruns of Pretty Little Liars on the living room.

In the middle of a Haleb moment, the doorbell rang making me groan out in frustration as I set the bowl on the coffee table.

I fixed the shirt of Harry that I stole that lifted a bit up at my stomach when I walk towards the front door. My mistake was I didn't check on who the person was on the peephole before I opened it.

As the door swung open, I was greeted by a very happy looking Niall who has a box of doughnuts in his hands. My face went pale for a second before I plastered on a smile.

"Niall!" I exclaimed as I jumped into his arms.

Niall was a few months away from graduating as well as Perrie, Liam, Zayn and Louis. He has been very busy but we talk almost every day. Fortunately, the gang didn't kick him in the curb or let out their frustrations, anger and pain on him for what I did, though Louis still hasn't been around, like he did in these four months, as Niall told me.

I still haven't told him about the baby even though we talk almost every day these past four months. I have been putting off our reunion, saying excuses here and there as I wasn't ready to tell him about my baby but there wasn't a point in denying it now as he stared at my huge belly.

"Can I come in?" His blue eyes managed to stay away from my belly as he stared at my face with an awkward smile.

"Yes, sure, come in." I smiled as I led the way to the living room, my bare foot padding in the carpet.

"So, why didn't you tell me?" Niall asked getting straight to the point as soon as we both sat down.

His smile earlier was replaced with a sad frown as he stared at me.

"I- I didn't know how." I stammered, which was true.

"You're telling me that in these past couple of moths you couldn't think of any way to tell me you're pregnant?"

"I'm sorry." I looked down.

"This is the real reason why you left, isn't it?" His voice was deeper than before and I couldn't bring myself to look up at him.

"Partly." I mumbled. "I already told you why I left him but this was the push I needed."

"I still think you're an idiot for doing that and not just talk to him but I respect your decision." He breathed deeply. "But he doesn't know, right? This is his baby too, Vee."
