CHAPTER XXV

December

I woke up with a smile on myself. Today was Louis' birthday, despite the fact that the boys want me to not be in contact with him or whatsoever until the end of the day, for the essence of surprise. I was against it but the boys bribed me a lot.

Harry was also against me going out tonight to Manchester since it's the day before Christmas. I told them someone's birthday is tonight and I wanted to be a good friend. Everyone was in on it, even Gemma who's yet to go home tomorrow, since she's stuck at her job until tonight and my mom doesn't want her driving too far at night.

I have been in Holmes Chapel for almost a week now. Harry has been home a day before me and has been bugging me about not inviting him when Gemma and I had lunch. I kept telling him that it was not planned and he just made faces like me.

Our parents always tell us to stop bickering but the smile on their faces afterwards told me that they missed us and our bickering. I felt bad that I haven't been home since I transferred to UM but I have been busy with school, making friends, making memories and Louis.

Speaking of Louis, the boys plan were me not making any contact with him, no calls, no text messages. I have to pretend that I forgot.

My phone was turned off and was located on top of my dresser. My laptop though, was on and my iMessage was on because of the group chat Liam had made for all of us, except Louis.

Me: This is so not cool
Me: It's so tempting
Perrie: Then do something to un-tempt yourself :P
Zayn: What she said
Perrie: -.-
Liam: Turn off your phone
Me: I already did
Me: Am I supposed to pretend that turning my phone on is hard?
Niall: I'm on my way to Manchester
Me: You're on your flight already?
Liam: Danielle's decorating the house for the Secret Santa party
Liam: I told her not to since it's basically just US
Danielle: Don't rain on my parade you bald man
Niall: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Niall: And yes Vee, miss me that much?
Me: I actually do
Perrie: Ew, Liam, you shaved your hair?
Liam: YES I DID
Niall: Awh, miss u too sweets
Danielle: He thinks he looks good
Danielle: But he does not
Liam: You're hurting my feelings
Danielle: You should've thought about that before shaving your damn head!!!
Zayn: Perrie's scolding me for laughing and texting while driving
Perrie: We're already here Liam, open the door
Liam: Louis is awake!
Me: Ugh, goodbye, I don't know how I'm going to last almost 11 hours not greeting him let alone, talking to him.
Liam: We already told him you gave us your secret santa gift since you can't come because of your brother
Danielle: And he pouted like a little baby
Me: Okay, goodbye, you are making me miss him more
Perrie: Text us when you're on your way and when you arrive, yeah? Stay safe, love xx
Liam: Take care Planet Vee!

I shut off my laptop with a groan before dragging myself out of bed. The smell of eggs and bacons hit my nostrils as soon as I opened my bedroom door making me smile to myself. This goes to the top ten lists of the things I miss, when you live in a dorm, you barely have time to cook breakfast or to cook at all.

"Good morning, honey." My mom said as I plopped myself down at my usual seat at the kitchen counter.

I don't know why but our breakfasts are always spent in the kitchen, but no one was complaining.

"Good morning." I said as I looked at Harry who emerged from the doorway of the kitchen, shirtless. "Ew, go put a shirt on!"

"Mind you, we used to take baths together."

"Yeah, when we were two!" I said back as I shield my eyes from his tattooed chest. In less than 6 months, he managed to get so many tattoos but my parents didn't care. They said it's his body. "I feel honored for my name that is permanently inked in your skin."
