It was Thursday evening when Rory Storm and the Hurricanes finally came. They were staying in a room a few doors down from us for the weekend. Everyone was eager to see how the bands were going to sum up against each other. The talk of the area was Rory Storm versus The Beatles.
Although we all didn't see it that way. All bands got along quite well. But I knew under all the kindness and friendly talk, there was a hint of competitiveness.
I stopped feeling sick for the time being. Me and Paul figured it probably was just a stomach bug and it finally passed. John and the guys were downstairs panicking and rehearsing like crazy for tomorrows show. I decided to get some work done and rest for a bit in our room.
It was eight in the evening as I walked down the hall, carrying a cup of tea. I still wanted to keep away from alcohol until I was sure I wasn't...you know.
I noticed someone clumsily walking towards me, a drum kit in front of him as he poked his head out from behind. I smiled and walked towards him as cymbals crashed to the ground. I bent down and picked them up.
"Thanks mate. I'm sorry I didn't see ye I was just takin this dow..." He moved from around the kit and trailed off as he saw me. I smiled, holding his cymbals in my hand.
"It's quite alright...um..Ringo right?" I felt my face flush as I stared into his blue eyes. Oh god he's so gorgeous. The guy i've had a crush on for awhile now.
He blushed and nodded. "How did ye know?"
"I'm uh the girl that'll be interviewing you tomorrow." I giggled.
"Oh yeah um...Lucy right?"
"Yeah. Um, Daniels. Lucy Daniels." I smiled holding my hand out to him. He took my hand in his, shaking it like crazy. I spilled a little of my tea but laughed a little at how clumsy he was.
"Oh I'm sorry I'm just trying to take this down and this tiny hallway makes it difficult."
"Um, I can help you if you'd like?" I asked. He smiled.
"Thanks love. I'd appreciate it."
I set my tea down on the ground and held the cymbals under my arms and helped him downstairs. I passed John and the guys as I helped Ringo set up his drum kit. I noticed all the guys watching me as I giggled at Ringo's jokes and crashed into him as we put things together.
"I think that does it." He smiled and realised his name on the front of the drums were upside down. I laughed.
"I guess i'm rrats ognir for now." He smiled.
"We can fix it tomorrow before the show yeah?"
"You're right. Thanks for the help love."
I loved his smile. He was so adorable yet sexy. He looked tough but when he spoke, he was silly and so sweet. It was easy to get along with him. Why can't we switch drummers?
"You're welcome."
We stood awkwardly and laughed at the same time.
"Uh, maybe I can get ye another cuppa tea?" He asked, blushing. I smiled and nodded.
"I'd love that."
We walked over to the back of the stage. I was a bit surpised as he made my tea for me, then handed me the cup.
"'Ere ye go."
"Thanks Ringo."
"Um ye can call me Richard. That's me real name."
"Thank you, Richard." I smiled. Another awkward silence until he spoke.
"So uh, I better go off out with the rest of me band."
"Alright um, I'll see you around then?"
"Definitly. You're with The Beatles right?"
"Yes. Seems were on opposite teams." I giggled. He laughed and nodded.
"Seems so. I guess it's forbidden love. But aye, we can still be friends right?"
"Of course." I nodded.
"Look um, I wish your band the best of luck. Were just as nervous but of course, nobody will admit it."
"Fuckin stubborn musicians." I smiled shaking my head.
"You lot got Pete Best yeah? I hear he's pretty good."
"I hear you're good too...cuter as well." I said without thinking. I blushed as he chuckled.
"Thanks love. Look I really should go now or the lads will 'ave my head." He smiled.
"Oh yeah sorry..see you around Richard."
"Until next time." He leaned in, kissing my cheek. He turned on his heel and left the room. I bit my lip and held in my excitement. Oh my god I mouthed to myself smiling like crazy.

Two hours later
I was laying in bed, reading a novel when George burst through the door smiling. He sighed and sat down, taking his shoes off. I watched him curiously as he shrugged out of his jacket next.
"George? You alright?"
"I'm perfect Luce. I just made a friend that's all." He smiled. I bit my lip. A girl. He met a girl.
"Oh um really. Who?" I asked, sitting up. I watched as he pulled his shirt off and turned to me.
"He's a drummer, his name is Ringo, and we have lots in common." He beamed. I laughed, relieved it wasn't a girl.
"You met him too?? He's such a breath of fresh air! He's so funny and charming..."
"I noticed you two talking earlier. I figured he was just another bloke tryin to get into your pants but then we met and...it just happened."
I laughed. "Wow. I never thought we'd both be excited over a guy."
"Both for different reasons i'll add." He pointed at me. "I don't want ye thinkin the wrong thing."
"Of course not. But then again, I'm not the one who came in here, looking like a teenage girl who just talked to her crush." I teased.
"Shut it Daniels." he laughed.
"Make me." I smirked and was soon met with a pair of lips on mine. I moved my fingers into his hair as we kissed more passionatly.
After a few minutes, he pulled back. "Lucy, I think I'm ready."
I looked into his eyes.
"Are you sure?" I breathed. He nodded and leaned in, kissing me again as we both fell back on the bed.
