"..Miss Daniels?.."
"Huh? Wha..?" I blinked and looked up at the teacher as I stood by his desk. My list of classes in my hand. I looked around and saw John leaving the classroom.
"Lucy? Are you alright?"
"Oh um, yeah i'm just fine. I'm uh, looking forward to this journalism class." I smiled.
"That's good to hear. I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled and nodded. I left the classroom in a daze.
What was going on? What is going on!? Why did I have that weird long dream. About John, about everyone. I shrugged and kept walking.
I'm supposed to meet John in the cafeteria now. It's my first day here and already I made a friend. That's gotta count for something right?
The hall was fairly empty now. I walked until I heard two people talking. Arguing actually. I slowed down and peeked around the corner to see John and his girlfriend Cynthia. This all seems to familiar for some reason.
"...and then you ignore me while passing classes to follow that bird all day."
"I'm sorry alright? I was just trying to be friendly."
Something was different.
"Yeah by the way you were looking at her it sure doesn't seem that way."
"Look Cynthia, I can be friends with whoever I want okay! If ye can't deal with the fact that I talk to a few birds now and then, maybe this relationship between us isn't goin to work!"
Okay something was definitly different. I stood still and looked around.
"John...if you leave with her then don't even bother coming back to me."
It was quiet for a few seconds until he answered. "I'm goin...with her. Goodbye Cyn."
I heard his footsteps leave as she scoffed and left the building. I smiled to myself and finished walking down the hall to the cafeteria. I could see John sitting at a table shaking his head.
I walked over to him and jumped in his lap, crushing my lips to his. He smiled and kissed back until I pulled away.
"Wow. That was a great starter." He smirked. I giggled and kissed him again before pulling away and sitting across from him.
"I hope I didn't cause too much trouble between you and your lady friend." I said looking at him. He shook his head.
"Nope. No trouble at all. In fact, i'm quite excited to get to know ye. It's been one day and already I feel a connection."
"Like it was meant to be?" I smirked and poked his arm. He nodded and leaned in, his face inches from mine.
"Exactly. Who knows, maybe this time we'll get it right."
....
