Chapter 36: Arguing with a child

After our fifteen minute walk, the four of us decided to head back to where we had last left Nai and Tae together.

When we arrived there at last, Nai and Tae were still together. However, this time round Nai seemed to have calmed down a great deal. It was a sight of relief and I let out a thankful sigh.

"You're back," Nai said, smiling up at the four of us.

I nodded, returning his smile.

"Why'd you guys leave?"

I shrugged, "thought you two might need some time to talk privately."

"How are you feeling P?" Ming asked, going to sit next to him on the grass.

"Better Kwanie, thanks for asking," He replied, ruffling his hair a little.

"You're still here?" Beam greeted Tae coldly.

He rolled his eyes in return, choosing to ignore Beam's remark, which only infuriated Beam more.

"Don't fucking roll your e-"

"Stop Beam," Nai begged, shaking his head with a little pout.

"So you're going to just defend this," He looked Tae over with a glare, "piece of shit instead of me? Your cousin?!"

"Ohh so you're the one that spoke to me on the phone." Tae laughed mockingly, remembering Beam yelling at him over the phone for breaking up with Beam.

"Yes that was me."

"I'm not defending him Beam," Nai sighed, "I just want you to hear him out first and decide how you feel about him after."

"I'm not hearing him out. And nothing is going to change the way I feel about him. He's a bastard and that's final."

"He had no choice but to break up with me Beam." Nai grumbled.

"I think he did Nai! He even got himself a girlfriend for fucks sake." Beam laughed out loud.

"Mena made him go out with Earth."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well you know how Kwanie is close to Earth?" I nodded. "Mena made him distract Earth so that she wouldn't hang out with him anymore."

I laughed at that, "how would her getting a boyfriend make her not hang out with Ming?"

"She wanted me to tell Earth to stop seeing Ming as I was now apparently her "boyfriend". I was told she would leave me alone after that. She told me to stay away from Nai if I didn't want him to get hurt." Tae spat.

"Does Earth know you basically lied to her about wanting to be her boyfriend?" Pha asked.

"Oh yeah she knows," he answered, "I told her before I asked her out. I made it very clear that what we have is just a pretend relationship. She agreed to help me out."

"Then why did she introduce herself as your boyfriend?"

"I told her to."

"Huh?"

"I know Mena, she wouldn't just trust me like that. She would check up on us, send people to spy on me, I just wanted to be on the safer side." Tae cast a look at Nai, "I just wanted him to be safe."

"So Mena planned this whole thing out?" Ming sounded devastated, "she just hurts the people I'm close to because she wants me all to herself? Is that what you're telling me right now?!" He was angry now.

"I need to talk to her right now! Give her a piece of my mind!" He shouted.

"Kwanie calm down-"
