I lie down on the grass next to Cory holding his hand. He looks at me and smiles.
"It was bound to happen eventually." I say with a smile.
"Well... that's not true."
I sit up scared. "What do you mean?"
He sits up next to me and looks at me. A tear falls from his eye. "I love you Casey, and I'm sorry for not telling you this."
"Telling me what!" I start to tear in my eyes.
"I... I have chronic myeloid leukemia."
