Dad Soldier 76 and Reader: Stood Up

This is not incest btw.

Narrator POV:

Soldier:76 ran across the hall in a rush, his visor scanning the entire area around him. 

"Where is that kid?" he wondered to himself as his head turned left and right. Y/N had been gone for three hours straight before he noticed them missing. Work sometimes distracts him from noticing his own kid was no where to be found. 

Suddenly, he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. Jumping a little from the touch, he turned around to see his old friend Ana Amari with her sympathetic smile.

"Jack, what are you searching for? Did you lose your glove again?"

He cringed at the memory, "No. I'm looking for Y/N, got any idea where they could've gone?"

Ana's eyebrows furrowed into focus, "Last thing I heard is that they're going on a date with one of our agents."

"What!?" The soldier yelled to the top of his lungs. "Why did they not tell me this?!"

Ana raised an eyebrow at him with a look he was faced with too many times to count. "I'll have everyone help you search for them." She walked away swiftly.

*some more searching later*

The more hours that struck by, the more Jack grew worried over their Y/N. 

Were they being kidnapped?

Were they caught by Talon?

Did Reyes murder them just to strike Jack where it hurt the most?

Were they having sex?

The thought made him furious enough to put Winston's Ultimate to shame. 

His feet stomped against the ground as he practically sprinted into their shared quarters. Opening the door with a loud thud into Y/N's room, Jack saw them sitting on the edge of their bed holding onto the big bear he won them at the carnival when they were 7 years old, their face hidden by the stuffed animal. Before he could say anything, he took a deep breath in and exhaled. 

"Where were you?" His arms were crossed as he stood over Y/N.

The only response was a soft sob, muffled by the giant teddy bear. Their head sank deeper into the toy as their arms wrapped around it tighter than before.

"Answer me, Y/N." Jack demanded.

Y/N lifted their head from the stuffed bear, head hanging low. "I...I went on a date with Cameron (Sorry if your name is Cameron) at The Roost, but... they stood me up." They sniffled at remembering the joy they once had, tears rolling off their cheeks like rain. 

Soldier:76 stiffened as his kid sank into the teddy bear once again. Normally he would let Ana or Reinhardt handle this, but they were out searching for Y/N. This leaves him with only his gut to tell him what to do. 

Hesitantly he sat next to Y/N on the bed, the mattress shifting due to the added weight. Cautiously, he put a hand on their shoulder as to comfort them in the most awkward way possible. "They must be a coward for not going, what a dimwit." he started to rub their shoulder.

"Dad, is... Is there something wrong with me?" Y/N held the stuffed bear closer to their chest.

Jack's eyes went wide with shock, were they this torn over some guy?

Without question he pulled Y/N into his chest, removing his mask with his free hand. 

"There is nothing wrong with you, Y/N. You're perfect just the way you are."

"You're only saying that 'cause you're my Dad!" they whined into his chest. With a tired sigh, she looked up at Soldier's face. They could barely make out his face in the dim room. Glancing at the corner of the room, she mumbled, "I just wish that someone would love me other than you."

Jack pulls Y/N closer to him as if he was going to lose them. "And you will find that someone one day, but you need to learn to love yourself for who you are. Don't let that douchebag make you think that you're in the wrong when they're the one that didn't take the time to truly get to know how amazing you are." 

Y/N wraps their arms around Jack, accepting his hug. "I still don't believe you, but thank you Dad. For everything." 

"Don't forget that I love you."

"I won't."

Off in the distance of the room,Ana leans against the door frame; watching Y/N and Jack in awe.

"Did you find them, Captain Amari?" Tracer zips into Soldier:76's quarters with her head poking through the door to see the cute scene. "AW-" Ana immediately shuts Lena's mouth with her hand, "Quiet, Child, you'll ruin the moment." 

Aftermath: Y/N got grounded for not telling Soldier:76 about the date. Also Cameron got punched in the face by Soldier and was moved to a different base because 76 wouldn't stop giving them the death stare every time he passed by them.
