It took us two solid hours to catch the track of the group again. They've taken refuge in an old, crumbling building out of town. The building used to serve as a hotel way back before I was even born. This time we loaded outer guns before we got out of the car and proceeded to sneak inside the building without anyone noticing. We decided to split up so we could cover up more space. As we entered what used to be the lobby I heard a loud gunshot coming down the hallway. I got my shotgun ready and hurried that way. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw who was standing in front of me.
"You thought I'd leave you without backup? I knew you and Reece couldn't do this alone." he said as he reloaded his gun. It was George. My greatest friend ever since I was little. He's been with me and Blake through thick and thin so seeing him here wasn't insanely surprising but surely unexpected.
"What the-. I'm not even going to ask what you're doing here. Thanks for back up G!" I exclaimed.
"You're welcome. By the way, the boss is upstairs if you want to take care of him. I know you enjoy that type of stuff." he said with a cheeky smirk.
Honestly, I could say that I loved him. He was the nicest guy I've ever met. He was everything you could look for in a true friend and I was glad I had someone like him.
Tens of gunshots fired by Reece and George filled the air of the forsaken hotel as they were taking down all of the members while I went upstairs to the second floor looking for the leader. As I reached the last room on the hallway I could hear a voice crying for help through the walls.
"I need help! Some fuckers ambushed us and taken down most of my people. I am in serious danger, Clifford." the voice said. It was surely the leader trying to call backup. I heard him putting the phone down and sitting on the bed as it escaped a loud squeak. That was the exact moment when I knocked down the door and rushed into the room. I took my gun and aimed it at his head.
"Freya?" he asked looking at me with pity. I dropped my gun at the seeing if his face.
"Dad?!" I screamed in disbelief. "All this time I thought you moved out of town with mum! What are you doing here? And why do you have a band of drug dealers? You know what, don't even bother to answer. You think you can bail on me and Blake because you 'got on your feet and don't need us anymore' just so you can build up a thriving drug business? Great joke." I said. The next second Reece and George jump through the door.
"We have to go, they got back up! We're outnumbered and out powered even for you, Freya! We have to sprint out of here!" Reece exclaimed barely catching his breath.
"Not leaving without this asshole." I said. "George, please cuff him." I added as I walked away from the bed.
"Done! Let's go!" he said as he pushed my father ahead to move faster.
We hurried down the stairs and all the way to our car before the backup has even arrived.
"Reece, you take my dad into your car! I'll go with G." I shouted as I ran to George's car.
"Okay then. Meet me at my place, Freya!" he shouted back.
