"What happened, brother?" jumped Reece.
"It's bad...It's about Lexi..." he said catching up his breath.
"Who?" asked Reece confused. "The girl he hooked up with at the party." I told him. "What about her, though?" I asked Blake. "I waked her home and...um well...she's part of the other gang." he said. "Yeah I found out that before you didn't but I didn't have time to warn you." I told him. "Come in, take a seat." I said, inviting him into the kitchen. "So what happened? - precisely." I asked him. "As I said I walked her home from the party. When we arrived at her place her uncle came in our way. Apparently he noticed that I'm from The Parkers - our gang - and he ran me off. Now I'm in trouble with the enemy gang." he confessed. "Okay so, firstly Alex and James, now you? Guys you need to learn to be more careful, for God's sake!"exclaimed Reece slamming his hands on the counter top. "Mate, how was I supposed to know she's one of them, huh?" Blake protested. "Boys, please don't fight right now." I said pulling Reece back because he looked like he was about to jump at Blake's neck any second. "Well, she's just a girl you hooked up with at a party, right? It's not like it would be something new for you." I said to Blake. "Actually, - he said scratching his head - I'm supposed to see her tomorrow." "Oh, God..." I said helplessly. "You never do anything serious love life wise and all of a sudden you take on a date your last night's hookup. Not gonna lie, I'm surprised." I added. "It's not my fault I really like her." he said. "Mhm, yeah, sure." said Reece.
"Also one more thing. Her uncle is the one who shot James." said Blake. "Oh, for fuck's sake, Blake! You really have bad luck with girls." said Reece. "Not the right time for jokes, Bibby!" Blake protested. "Alright, so, um, what could we do to actually help you, B?" I asked him. "I have no idea, but I just don't want to have anything to do with that gang but I also really like her and I have no idea what to do." he said. "This kind of sounds like a fairytale but maybe the relationship between you guys might put an end to our gangs' rivalry." I said. "Freya, this isn't some kind of happy ending story. This is real life. As much as I love you, I need you to realise that we have to take care of all of our actions; and this? it would never work out the way we would want it to." said Reece. "But we could try. If anything happens, I'll take all the blame for it." I said. "Okay fine. But, Blake, please take care; of yourself and of her too." said Reece.
I had an idea in mind that could maybe provide me more answers. I needed to talk to Lexi. I needed to know her intentions with Blake. I wanted to make sure she wasn't been manipulated by her fellow gang members and she's doing this out of her own initiative.
