20 years later

I walked up to Richard's office not knowing what to expect. My mother has always told me that he was a sweet man and that he was a father figure for both her and my dad.
I knocked on the door and a deep voice from behind it told me to come in. The old man was standing behind a desk with tons of papers on it.
"Hi, you must be Richard, right?" I asked respectfully.
"Yes, I am." he answered. "You're Freya's son, right?" he asked me.
"Yes, I am." I answered.
"What a pleasure to finally meet you, Blake." he said standing up from his desk and approaching me. "I'm glad I finally got to meet you." he told me as he shook my hand. The smile on the old man's face was a sign of relief for me. He really was kind. "On what purpose are you here?" he asked me kindly.
"I want to join the gang." I said firmly. His smile went away in that moment.
"Take a seat, son." he said as he went back to his chair. I took a seat in the chair that was in front of the desk and put my hands on it. "Listen, you were named after one of our best men. Your uncle was a true warrior and a respected man. You know what happened to him. Do you want that to happen to you too?" he asked me.
"No. I just want to finish what he had started." I said as I looked straight into Richard's eyes.
