"Blake, we need you. Take G and Kev with you. Come to the abandoned hotel. Dad's people are behind the dangerous drugs." I texted him.
I was speeding down the roads, Reece behind me. In a nick of time we got to the hotel. Blake, George and Kevin were already there. I could tell by the gunshots that they already took action. Me and Reece loaded our guns and rushed inside. I shot every single person that dared to step in front of me. I was walking through the old hotel lobby like it was a war field then I saw her; hiding behind the front desk. I could believe it was her until I heard someone calling her name. "Sarah, come here." She was my mother. My own fucking mother. I made Reece a sign with my hand that I was going to follow them. I went after them and they went upstairs. I tried not to make any noise but she stopped and turned around because she heard the floor cracking under my feet. I tried to hide but it was too late. She saw me. "Freya?" she said. "Mom?" I asked. "What are you doing here?" she asked me. "I could ask you the same damn thing but I already figured it out. You've taken over dad's business, right?" I told her. "I had to, Freya. It's the way we made a living." she said trying to make me feel bad for her. I didn't. "I thought that killing dad taught your people a lesson: not to go after our gang." I said. "I'm not willing to kill you but I need some answers that dad wasn't willing to give." I added. "Okay then, let's go to this room." she said. There was another man with her but he seemed harmless; probably her bodyguard. "So what do you want to know?" she said. "Firstly, how did you guys get involved in this?" I asked. "We went bankrupt after you and Blake refused to support us anymore. This other gang offered us financial support in order for us to deal some drugs for them. We thought it was going to be an one time thing but it wasn't like it." she said. "Of course it wasn't." I interrupted her. "After your dad died I had to take over. I don't like doing this but I have no other choice." she finished her idea. "I could've sworn that this gang was behind this. Your people have recently attacked one of ours. We decided not to do anything in order not to trigger a war but it looks like you give us no choices." I told her.
"Clifford is on his way here." the man whispered into my mum's ear. I remembered hearing my dad talking to some guy called Clifford when he needed backup the first time we encountered them. "Who's Clifford?" I asked. "Our leader. You should take your guys and vanish before he gets here. You don't want to challenge him." my mum told me. "Okay, but tell him this: don't ever try and attack us again. We'll shut up now but we won't if it happens again. Deal?" I said. "Deal." she said as I left the room.
"Come on, boys, we gotta go!" I said rushing downstairs. They literally slaughtered every single one of our enemies. I didn't know if I should've been proud or disgusted by the scene rolling in front of my eyes. We all rushed to our cars and intended to take off but I saw Clifford arriving and I decided to hide behind some bushes to see what was happening. I heard him walking inside and seeing all the bodies lying on the floor. "Sarah, I'm going to fucking kill you if this happened on your watch." I heard him shouting. For a second I got protective over my mother but I decided to stay in my car and wait for them to leave. A few minutes after hearing unintelligible screams from the hotel I heard a gunshot and a female voice screaming in pain. I could tell it was my mum. I didn't care about anything in that moment and rushed into the hotel after her. "Mum! Where are you!?" I shouted while speeding down the hallways of the hotel. I saw blood leaking from under a door and I opened it. I saw my mother lying on the ground, a bullet close to her heart. "Did Clifford do this to you?" I asked her kneeling down next to her. Her wound was too bad and I couldn't do anything about it. "Yes...he did..." she said hardly. I couldn't stay and watch her die like that. She was my mother after all. "Please, kill me." she said through tears. "I don't want to struggle like this." she moaned out. "Mum, I can't do this." I said, taking my gun out. I had to do it but it was different than when I killed dad. He was a bastard. He did bad things. Mum was nothing but his wife that was helpless and powerless. "Do it, Freya. Liberate me from this pain." she begged me. I took my gun and put it to her head. "I'm sorry, mum." I said as I fired the bullet that was about to end her life. I walked away from that scene and ran to my car crying. "Are you okay?" said a voice, grabbing my wrist. I turned around and saw a cute blonde girl, around my age. "Leave me alone." I said taking my hand away from her and running to my car. She was probably part of the other gang and I didn't want to have anything to do with her. I got in my car and drove to our ex-leader's mansion that now because our gang's meeting place. There all the others were waiting for me, worried.
"Where have you been?" asked Reece taking me in his arms, noticing that I've cried. "They killed my mum." I said, tears running down my face again. I didn't regret loosing my dad but my mum was something else. "What? Who?" asked Blake. "Apparently mum took over dad's business and she was leading the people that you all have killed while I went upstairs and got some answers that I couldn't get from dad." I told them. "She was part of our enemy gang and those people were also working for them." I said. "Their leader came there right after we left; that's why I told you to leave; and when he found out what happened he tried to kill her. He shot her in the chest but missed her heart. She begged me to end her suffering...and I did..." I said trying not to cry again. "My poor baby." said Reece, now holding me tighter.
