Blake gave me her number and I called her, letting her know I want to meet up. She was okay with it surprisingly.
I didn't really want to be seen with her in public so I asked her to come to my place. She made it there at around 3 pm. Thankfully Blake was out on a mission so we could talk peacefully.
"Hi! Come in!" I said opening the door. She had an actually sweet and not fake smile on her face. It seemed that she was serious about Blake as well. "So, mostly why I wanted to talk to you is because I'm slightly worried about my cousin." I said walking into the kitchen, Lexi following me. "Why so?" she asked politely I could say. She was way nicer than when we met at the party. She must have been drunk. "Well, the thing is - I said taking a seat on a kitchen stool - he's never felt like this about a girl before. I mean he had taken out girls before but he never said the words 'I really like her'. He's not like that. Don't get me wrong, I love him and all that but he can be a total asshole to girls." I told her. "Oh. So he said those words." she said looking down at her feet, smiling. I could tell it was an honest smile. She must've liked him as well. I wouldn't have been surprised though. He was attractive. Girls liked him. He always had at least one little bitch running around him but none of them could actually get to him. "Look the thing is, I like him too, I could say. I mean he seems actually rather nice than an asshole and really seems to care about me; especially if he said that." she added. "I really wish I knew what to say. I've never been in the place to talk to my cousin's potential future girlfriend. He's never had a relationship before that lasted more than 3 months." I said. The last girlfriend that Blake had was Lilly. A really nice girl if you were to turn a blind eye to what she did to him. Well, what both her and George did to him. I shouldn't be the one judging people's lives considering that I have almost killed the guy I love the most but let's be real here: one does not cheat on her boyfriend with his best friend. Never. Ever. "Anyway, the real reason I am worried about you and Blake's possible relationship is that you're part of the enemy gang and whether you like it or not I know what your uncle did and please, don't even try to defend his actions." I added. "Oh shit, so you know. To be honest, I'm not willing to defend him in any way and also, the only reason I'm part of this gang is because of him." she confessed. "How come?" I asked rather curious. "Well, long story short: I wasn't supposed to be born at all. I was made by mistake. I'm a love child. My mum had an affair with someone and had me. She wanted to keep me because after her husband died she was lonely but my father didn't want to keep me because he was married and had another little child. My mother actually ended up keeping me and raised me by herself with the help of the gang. Now I live with her and my uncle, her brother. Unfortunately, as family legacy, I was forced to join the gang as well so here I am. Honestly if I could, I wouldn't identify myself with them." she told me. I was left speechless for a couple of moments then I remembered something that Reece told me a while ago: his father had an affair and ended up with a child when he was very little. He found this out from his uncle. I started questioning this situation because things were clicking way too well. Lexi was 18, Reece was 20; the age gap made perfect sense. She said her father was married and had a little child; also a coincidence. I felt weird but I had to ask her about this but before I could say anything she dropped the bomb. "Also, this might sound weird but Reece resembles my father way too much." That was it. It all made sense. They must've been siblings. I couldn't have been that stupid and not realise the straight facts that were right in front of my eyes.
