Blake got home a bit earlier than expected but neither of us seemed to mind. "Hi, cousin." he said walking inside. "Um, hello, Lexi!" he said surprised at the sight of her. He pulled her into a hug before she could say hi to him. He was pretty visibly happy to see her. Highly shocking to me honestly. I really needed to get used to seeing my cousin being actually affectionate to people. I wondered how long it would last. "Hey, cousin, I gotta go. Maybe I'll come back tonight, I'll see. If we won't see each other today then take care." I said taking my keys and heading off.
Reece has to know he still had an actual relative alive. A sister to be exact. I wasn't quite sure how I was going to tell him or how he was going to take it. Deep down I hoped he would be happy. After all he's been through, he deserved some good news. It was around 5pm and Reece was already preparing for dinner. When I walked in his face lit up like a little child's face on a Christmas morning. He was always so happy to see me and it made me feel like the happiest girl on earth even though we were gong through so much on a daily basis that we had such little time to be happy that we could swear we were living the saddest lives possible. "Dinner is just about to be ready." he said with a huge grin on his face. "Aw that's great but I want you to sit down for a few seconds. I've got some news and I'm not sure how you're going to react to them." I said. "Oh my God, are you pregnant?!" he exclaimed. Apparently I was in love with a dumbfuck. "No you dummy. Firstly, I'm still a virgin and secondly, you know I hate kids." I said laughing. "Oh, okay then. You got me for a second." he said relieved but sarcastic. "Actually the news are kind of about you; your family to be exact." I told him."What about my family? They're all dead. I mean my uncle is still out there somewhere, I think. At this point God knows who's still alive and who's not." he said. I took a deep breath. He was about to get some relatively good news but I was still scared of his reaction. Thankfully, he was in a really good mood. "Well, they are not all dead. -I said taking another breath. His face showed no emotion still. - You might not believe this but, I might have found your sister." I told him eventually. "My what?!" he asked in shock. "You know you told me about the affair your dad had? And you told me he had a child after that but you never met them. Well, I found her. Don't ask me how I know, I just know." I said. "That's mental. How on earth did you manage to find her? And who is she?" he asked. "You wouldn't believe your ears, baby." I told him. "Just tell me already, Freya!" he exclaimed impatiently. "Well, she's Lexi. - I said, taking a break to let it sink in his mind. - She told me everything about her father and how she was born. She told me that you resemble her dad very well. That was when it all clicked." I told him. "No fucking way!" he exclaimed, a tear running down his cheek. I was very confused about what he was feeling to be honest. "These are the best news ever!" he added and burst into crying properly and dragged me closer to him. He hugged me tightly as tears of pure joy were running down his cheeks and falling onto my shoulder. After years of being alone on this earth, he finally found out that somewhere, out there, he had a sister, all this time without knowing.
