Every morning our gang meets up at the mansion to discuss about how their tasks are going. That morning I decided to stop by and check on my people myself.
"Morning, everybody!" I said as I walked through the entrance hallway.
"What the hell are you doing here?" asked Liam, visibly surprised to see me there. "Don't you have a wedding to plan?" he added.
"It can wait. You guys need some serious help and you know better than anyone that I hate just looking at people working without doing anything." I told him.
Right when I finished talking, loud noises coming from the back door flooded the house. I rushed over there to check what was happening only to see Richard hurrying inside as someone was aiming at him from the outside.
"Shit, Richard, is everything alright?" I asked him worried. It clearly wasn't alright.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just some motherfuckers chasing me. The All-Owners really have no chill." he said shutting the door behind him.
"Is there anything I can help with?" I asked.
"Now that you're here, yes, there is." he said happy to hear my words. "I don't know if you heard about your cousin's plans but..." he said looking down. Before he could finish his sentence, we saw Blake running through the front door.
"Thank fuck, you're here cousin!" he said as he arrived in front of me, barely catching his breath. Richard gave that 'I told you' look and I knew exactly what Blake was going to tell me. This guy was really good at getting in trouble.
"So, what did you want to tell me? How bad did you fuck up this time?" I asked him worried and sarcastically at the same time.
"Can we talk somewhere more private, please?" he said looking at the door that led to one of the guest bedrooms.
"Alright, so, I went to Lexi's last night and unfortunately I met Adrian. And I don't know if Richard had time to tell you but..." he took a break to let me process everything that he just said. His voice was so blank that I couldn't predict where he was going with his story.
"Ok, go on. What was Richard supposed to tell me?" I asked him.
"Adrian is the one that killed my parents, Freya. He's the one that killed your uncle and aunt. I know you probably won't help me with this and I already have Richard helping me but..." he took a break again. "What do you mean he's the one that killed uncle and auntie? Shit.., this can't..." I tried to say but my tears took over. "This is exactly why I want to kill him. I have to revenge my parents. I can't live knowing that the man that murdered my family is alive and well. And moreover committing other crimes as well." he said but this time he wasn't trying to calm me down but he tried to make me angrier hoping that I might join him on his stupid vendetta. I found out that The Bishops were working for The All-Owners and Adrian was the leader's best man. Going after him was pure suicide but it looked like Blake was already on it.
"What other crimes?" I asked him not as if I already knew the answer.
"He's the one that attacked James. He's the one that now does dirty work for those bloody mobsters. God knows what other things he could have possibly done." he said convincingly.
"As much as I'd want to help you, I really can't. I can not risk getting into something like this. And neither should you." I said trying to make him drop it.
"You won't stop me. I already have Richard and his family by my side. It may not be their personal business but they are after the same people anyway." he told me clearly mad at me.
"Fine. You do what you want, like you always do. I'll be here in case you need backup. That's the least I could do." I told him heading towards the door.
"Thanks for that." he said.
"Be careful. I've had enough funerals. I don't want to have another one. I'd rather plan my stupid wedding rather that any of you's funeral." I told him seriously but also with a hint of laughter. I really didn't want anything bad to happen especially not in that moment in time.
"I promise I'll come back alive." he said before I left the room.
"I really hope you will." I said under my breath while leaving. I'm just saying one thing: Blake wasn't good at keeping promises.
