It has been two months since Blake had passed away and I still couldn't take my mind away from it. With all the pain that both me and Reece have been through, we didn't even have time to work on planning our wedding.
In the meanwhile we decided that our gang should lay low for a period in order to avoid conflicts. To fill our spare time with something useful, me and Reece opened a small cafe not far from our house.
Richard got back his land from The All Owners and built a farm for his family on it. The original Parkers bought the abandoned hotel, cleaned it and reopened it as now it was serving as a working place for most of our people. It has been years since our gang has been so peaceful.
The weekly races were still taking place, now just for fun. We sold the mansion and managed to find a real office for our meetings.
Lexi has been locked up into a mental hospital and a huge part of The Bishops were arrested.
Everything seemed to be coming together nicely and our lives were finally normal again.
I was casually laying in bed, searching for a venue for our upcoming wedding. I was so caught up by my laptop's screen that I didn't even notice that Reece had already came home from work and took a seat on the bed next to me.
"You know The Parkers' hotel has a wedding venue as well, right?" he asked me sarcastically.
"I know, but I don't really feel like choosing it considering what has happened there. I can't look at that place the same way." I said taking my eyes away from the laptop for a moment.
"Alright then. What about that one?" he said pointing at a picture of a fancy building.
"Babe, we'd have to sell our lives to afford that." I said laughing.
"What about that one?" he said pointing at the one next to it. My smile had suddenly faded. It was the venue where my parents got married. Every time we drove past it my mum would tell us how she tripped on it's stairs and almost ruined her dress. We had to choose that one.
"It's perfect." I said as I looked straight into Reece's eyes. He put the laptop away, grabbed my face and kissed me passionately. I put my hand oh his chest and pushed him away for a second.
"I'm afraid I know where you're going with this." I told him.
