Days went by insanely quick and the evening of the dinner came. I put on my dress and did my make up to match its colour. I took my small black clutch bag and but on a pair of black heels. I could feel that something was missing. I always wear my leather jacket, no matter the context. This dinner was no exception. "You really do love in your bloody jacket, don't you?" said Blake, walking inside my room as I was checking myself in the mirror. "I can't leave home without it. It's what makes me myself." I responded. We both go down to his car and we head to our boss' mansion. It was a 30 minute drive out of town. I love road trips a lot; singing along to the CDs that Blake had in his car was my favourite. I always loved hearing him sing from the bottom of his heart. When we were younger the only times when I was seeing him happy were when he was singing.
I didn't even realise how fast we got there. Minutes went by quick in Blake's company but he was also a fast driver. When we arrived we saw Reece and George's cars parked in front of the mansion. We both walked inside and met the boys who were standing in the kitchen having some drinks. "Hello there!" said George, visibly already drunk. "G, you've been here for less than an hour and you're already wasted." said Reece laughing. "Also hi guys! How are you doing?" he added with a big smile on his face. I remember that months ago I hated seeing him happy or better said I just hated seeing him. Now his happiness makes me happy as well. "Hey! I'm surely doing considerably better. Thanks for asking." I said as I leaned against the kitchen counter next to him. I'm slowly growing to enjoy his company. "Me and George are going to grab some drinks. Are you going to be fine?" Blake asked me. "Yeah, I be okay. Go have fun." I reassured him. Being around Reece seemed nicer and nicer. Sometimes I wonder why on Earth I used to hate him so much. Now that I know he understands me and my pains and my traumas I feel like spending time with him was really what I have always needed. "You look incredible tonight." he said breaking the silence that has fallen between us for a couple of minutes. "Aw thank you!" I said awkwardly. No one has ever complimented me before besides Blake so I didn't quite know how to respond. "You want something to drink?" he asked me kindly. The way he was looking at me was so sweet I could help but just stare into his beautiful eyes. I always knew he had the most gorgeous green eyes possible but he always pissed me off with his perfection. "Something nonalcoholic would do. Someone has to drive back home tonight." I said jokingly. "You know pretty damn well the boss provides us drivers if we get too drunk to drive him. Come one one drink won't do much damage." he said grabbing my hand. I didn't mind his touch either. His hand was soft and his touch felt nice. "Okay let's go." I said. I didn't realise but I was holding his hand all the way to the drinks table in order not to loose him in the crowd of people gathering around the house. We downed 5 shots each and eventually met up with Blake and George who were completely hammered. The dinner was about to start so we headed to the dining room.
