"What the fuck was that, Freya?" said Blake through the phone. Apparently Daniel called him and told him that I beat him up. Bastard.
"What the fuck was what? He deserved it. In case you want to defend him I'll punch you as well so don't try it." I told him off. "Alright, I get it but did you really have to go that hard on him? Who's going to come with me on missions if he can't?" he asked me. "We'll find you a better partner. He was trash anyway." I said hanging up the call. As I was to pull up in my driveway I got a text from George. "We found out who the victim was. Come to my place for all the information." he said. I turned my car around and headed to his house. Him and Kevin moved in together a while ago and they lived down the street from Reece.
"So, tell me everything that happened." I said entering through the front door. "So we did a little digging and found out that James and Alex have done some work for the other gang in order to keep peace between us. James was supposed to kill Nicole for God knows what reason and refused to do so they shot him." explained George. Nicole was Richard's wife and our best mercenary. No wonder why they wanted her dead. "How did you find out?" I asked. "I'm good friends with Alex so he told me everything I needed to know." said Kevin. "Alright so, they attacked one of ours, what are we gonna do about it?" I asked them. "Alex told me that we shouldn't do anything. It's all between the two of them and the others. In case something bad happens he told me he'll reach out to us." answered Kevin.
Two out of three cases were solved. I called Reece and told him that I was coming to his place earlier than I said. We were yet to check up on Liam and his team so I gave him a call on my way to Reece's. "How's the mission going, mate?" I asked him. "We're currently tracking down where they get their drugs from. We confiscated all that they had and now we're after the bigger dealer." he said. "Do you need any backup? Who are you with?" I asked. "I've got Scarlet, Jack, Mike and Dallon with me. We shall be good. In case anything happens I call you up." he said ending the call. "I wouldn't be surprised if it were my dad's group again." I said to myself pulling up in Reece's drive way. "Hey babe." he said as I entered the kitchen. It was around 4pm and he was making lunch. Husband material 100%. "Hey. So, I've checked up on the missions and everything is going just as planned. I'm just a tiny bit worried about Liam and their task. They decided to go after the bigger dealer." I told him. "They'll do just great. They are the best of our gang. Why are you so worried about this?" he asked me. "What if it's the other gang? What if it's my dad's people. We're at the edge of risking a gang war. They attacked one of our people, Reece. They tried coming after you. We're not safe anymore." I said cuddling up in his arms. "We'll be fine. I'm the leader, remember? I'll bring back the peace." he told me, rubbing my back gently.
My phone started ringing. It was Liam. "You won't believe me." he said immediately after I picked up. "Spit it out, Liam." I said. "So, the actual dealers are your dad's people. Honestly I'm scared to go after them after what happened last time." he told me. "You take the young ones with you and go home. Tell Scarlet and Dallon me and Reece are on our way. What is their location?" I told him. "They are hiding at the abandoned hotel on the outskirts." he said. "Classic. We're coming. Take care, Liam." I said hanging up.
"So where are we going?" Reece asked.
"The abandoned hotel. My dad's favourite hiding place." I said taking my keys and heading to my car.
