"I've been waiting on you guys for so long..." "Sorry Lexy-poo. We slept like babies in each other's arms..." Abby smiles.

"Oh my god, did you and him..."

"Guilty as charged..." Maverick confesses as he puts down his bag on the thick wooden slab. Their faces are guilty, yet happy in the silent library. Everybody is with their books while I close mine.

"Right, there goes learning about the reproductive system..." I say. "Arghh, my head's in a literal paper jam..." Abby moans almost too loud when she takes her seat. The wooden bench to share is completely taken up by Abby's long legs.

"Serves you right for drinking so much last night." I say as Maverick puts her legs down to sit. "Look who's talking, Liz told me she saw you and Aiden Rodfon going outside together. So what were you two doing out there? Discussing how to pee?"

She was right about her paper jam, almost everyone around us heard her blabbering. "Abby, we're in the library!" I remind her.

"Oops sorry. Sorry, sorry." she waves at the people around us. "So, did you and Rodfon really..." Maverick asks as he flips through his Biology notes, "God no! And I never want to see that jackass again." "What happened?" he asks, his eyes concerned.

"Nothing..." I mumble as I fiddle with the corner page.

"She's lying! Tie her down!" Abby yells again. Maverick pulls her hands down and asks her to sleep on the table before Mr. Samarth, the head librarian, came. "Did Aiden hurt you?" he asks.

Should I tell him? I didn't have any siblings and Maverick's kind of like my older brother when Abby's in her limbo of delusion.

"He did." I confess. "What?! How?! Where is he?!" Maverick's eyes become bloodshot. "Gone. Caivanial told me he..."

"Hold on. Why's Caivanial there?" he asks disrupted.

"Caivanial's the one who helped."

"Caivanial Adams?" Abby wakes up now, "...Did the both of you bang?" she giggles. "Abby, go back to sleep."

"No, I want to listen..." she's like a small child.

"It's nothing. Caivanial shoed Aiden off. Then, we went out for dinner." "A date? How did it go?" she asks with her hand squeezing mine tightly. "It wasn't a date. I just felt light-headed."

"Who paid?" she asks.

"Him." I say, "It was a date." she finalizes.

"Call it whatever you want, but I'm glad Caivanial was there. I could've died you know." "Well we're glad you're still here, but you have to spill some tea?" Abby asks.

"Huh?"

"No offense or anything Alex, but Caivanial's almost as invisible as the bacteria in our canteen food." "I guess he is, but he's sweet." I say as I remember our talk.

"So what did you guys do?" she pesters like a chicken.

"Nothing much. He told me he was Italian, that he moved around a lot and that it's only him and his dad..."

"Wait. So he's got a father?" Maverick asks with furrowed brows. "Yeah..." "He's lying to you Alex." he cuts me off.

"How do you know?"

"Because I've looked through his file before."

"We've both looked through his file. He's got no parents, no friends, no home address...he doesn't even have his previous schools stated down." Abby says with a little more sobriety.
