I didn't think she was serious about this, but when she told me without a twitch in her eye, I knew she was ready. I don't ask another question and immediately hide the car in the forest and walk out to an open ground with her in my hand.
I've been waiting for this moment for so long that I didn't think it would be so soon. She told me just two nights ago that she would take it one step at a time and after yesterday, I would've thought she'd make this decision only next month. Guess I was lucky.
"Ok, so when we reach Mundurum, don't stare. You might feel intimidated, but they're more intimidated by you." I tell her.
"Why?" she asks me as I guide her through a thicker green field.
"You're with me. I'm everyone's enemy. And there's no point hiding your identity, because they'll immediately know who you are."
"Why?" she asks again.
"Because I've brought you there many times."
"Is it going to be dangerous?" she gulps and starts to rethink.
She stops walking and her mind runs wild. "X. Don't overthink it. It's fine. You'll be safe. We're connected remember?" I tell her as I reach my palm up to cup her cheek.
It's so soft unlike her rock mind.
"Nothing will happen to you, ok?" I ask for her confirmation; I don't want her to freak out and get a panic attack when we're down there.
"I don't know..." she says and I lose track of her thoughts until I hear somebody else in the background. "Can I follow you?" the husky voice asks and I leave Alex's side to reach his. I clamp on his shirt and push him quick to hit the tree.
His head gets the first impact and I'm glad.
"Nice to see you again." he says and I feel like punching him still.
Alex runs to me after she gets frustrated of yelling at me to stop.
"Seems like she's upset. You should let me go." he says with a smug and lays his head on the tree. "You wish..." I say and punch him on the face, but only once. Alex grabs hold of my hands then and pulls me away from him. I let her do so, because I know I wouldn't stop punching him.
"Come on, seriously. You need to stop hurting him. He didn't do anything." she tells me and I calm myself down before I apologize to her. If she only knew of the filthy thoughts floating in his mind...
"Are you alright?" she asks him.
"I'm fine. He couldn't kill me if he tried." he tells us as he dusts off his jacket.
"What are you doing here Damien?" she asks him.
"To see you. I can't trust him around you..." he tries to say but I catch hold of his shirt again with my hand high up, aiming at his stupid face.
"Caivanial!" she shouts at me and I immediately push him away, "I don't want any one of you fighting each other." "Fine. Then ask him to leave." I tell her with my face directed at him. "And who says I'll listen to her?" he argues. I had to control every muscle in my body to stop myself from wacking his smug face off.
"Because you will! Stop following me Damien." she shouts at him.
"Alexandra. I will not allow you to go down there alone with him. I've been around long enough to know what he does." "What?! What do I do?" I get tensed now and jolt a little to his side. "Do you really want me to tell her?" "GO ahead. I dare you!" I hiss into his face.
"Stop it. The both of you!" her vein's popped out from her head.
"No! Don't tell me you were stupid enough to let him invade you. Alexandra..." "You were never going to claim her Wivler. She was mine from the very beginning."
I put my hands around her waist, but I realise then that I made a huge mistake.
"Claim? Are you serious?" she asks as she pushes me away, "I'm just a prize for you then in this stupid rivalry?"
"No! It's not like that..." I try to explain, but the explanation cannot go further than what it already appears to be.
"X. You're more than a prize to me...you know that."
"But that's not how it sounds like now." she states and pulls away further.
"Don't be like that..." I tell her. The more I speak the more she steps away from me. "Alex..." I finally groan and she's already beside him.
I want to go up to her side and pull her away from him, but I can't—I can't do that.
In one day, we already had two fights.
This was not going on well.
