I'm slowly opening my eyes.

The dirt is starting to fall in and so I rub them away to see Caivanial snuggled in my arms. He looks so innocent in his foetal position with his head buried in my chest.

I remain still but my fingers start to flow into his hair smooth hair. I stroke it gently as to not wake him up. He's a stressed guy—battling monsters, dealing with me, his dad...

I was terrified about that—that his dad was somehow going to kidnap me.

You couldn't say for certain what the Devil has in plan for you and I only prayed that he'd leave me alone. After watching him sleep for a while I decide to go take a bath. I leave him delicately on my bed as to not disturb him before I lock my room door.

I couldn't let my parents find out I let him up here.

Secrets, secrets and more secrets...

I get my towel finally and pop into my bathroom. As I remove the dirty shirt off of me, my hands retract to cover my naked bra.

"How'd you..."

"I've been waiting forever." he says with a smile.

"I thought you were a sleep?"

"I don't really sleep X. I only close my eyes and try to relax myself." "Like meditate?" "Yeah, almost like that."

"That's terrible. How do you dream then?" "I'm living in my dream now..." he smirks before he comes down to lay one on me.

"This early?" I mumble in his lips, thinking of how erotic he can be.

"Mmm...it's a great way to start the day..." he tries to tell me as I fall deeply cajoled into this flummoxing game of his.

"They're here" he says rashly before putting me down. "You forgot my parents were here?" I ask confused. "No! Somebody else is downstairs..." he says before he faces the door of the bathroom. "Who is it?" I ask afraid.

Caivanial doesn't seem happy at all, and that worries me the most.

"The Mayor and his lap dog are here...I need you to get dressed. I'll meet you downstairs in ten minutes." And he's gone with the wind.

Why are they here?

I'm not missing, am I? I get dress as he asks me to. After a quick shower and messy bun later, I open the door to meet the wooden staircase down. There are arguments; too soft to make out, but loud enough to know it's about me. I want to stay up, away from what's happening until I realise it's Mayor Rodfon together with Captain Burke—the lap dog.

"Good morning..." I try to wish in a cherry mood, which is the exact opposite of everyone's mood in the room.

"Good morning Ms. Kain, we'd like you to come down to the station with us." Captain Burke informs. "Why?" This is more serious than I thought...

"She's not going with you anywhere! She didn't do it!" mom raises her voice which causes my stomach to twist. "What did I do?" I ask nervously.

"They're saying that you shot and killed Aiden Rodfon. Which is preposterous because Alex is not capable of murdering!" dad defends me.

"Well, all evidence points to her Mr. Kain. We found her car on the old road yesterday but my police officers a trail of dirt leading away from the car."

"...Following the trail, we eventually find Aiden Rodfon's decaying corpse, buried." the Captain explains as I gasp at the accusation; someone is trying to frame me!

My head starts to feel woozy then, like the room was starting to spin.

How could all of this be happening?
