Stepping back into the repulsive cabin, I find myself in surprise. Two little rats acting together without my knowledge. "Kamila. Mara. How nice that the both of you met."

"Hi Caivanial. I couldn't believe you didn't introduce me to your friend Mara over here. She's been telling me all the moves she's done on you."

"Yeah? Did she tell you that I imprisoned her for four-hundred years because of that? I bet not. Now what are you doing here?!" I ask as I sit down on the couch facing the both of them. "I invited her." Damien says as he walks in with the Milowski brothers.

"Good morning Prince!" they give me a salute which I find almost mocking.

"Why?" I ask Damien.

"Cause we can't have Mara roam around without backup. Keeping Mara alive is as important as keeping Alex alive too. If shit goes down and Mara's dead, nobody can bring out Mea." "You think we can trust Kamila?!"

"You think of me so less my little demon baby." she says with a rush in her steps to meet my neck. I push her away from me before she gets nearer and stand up to meet Damien. "Did you talk to Rodfon?" I ask.

"Yeah. He's got us twenty men to surround Alex." "Good. Milowski's do you guys have the gear ready?" "Yeah. We got the Magiqs blood and Toby's been practicing." Henry says. "Yeah. While I trace the whereabouts of the key, he'll be retrieving it." Toby says.

"Then you're going to give me the key and Damien will accompany Alex while I get the wings." I finish it off. "It all sounds good but what's going to happen if the Devil gets to her first?" Mara asks. "Damien will be there."

"Who's going to handle the Fiotoses?" Kamila asks.

"Rodfon's Noncs will." I answer. "What about negotiating? Who's going to do that?" Mara asks. "Me and you're going to follow me." I tell Mara.

"Why?"

"Cause dear old father wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to see you again. It'll give us leverage." "But what if he kills me?" she asks afraid.

"I won't let him. If a war does start, I need all of you to escape and find best hiding ground, cause this feud is between my father and I, and it'll end only between us."

"Then where do you want me to take Alexandra?"

"Back here. Keep her comfortable. She's going to need a lot of water then."

"Why are we even protecting her Caivanial? You could just turn her immortal and your dad won't have to fuss so much."

"You people just don't get it! This isn't about her mortality, this is all about control. My father wants to control me, by controlling her. And if he does gain full control over her, Mundurum is not going to be so easy-going."

"It's already hard..." Henry says. "Yeah, so imagine it worse than that."

"What's the King going to do?" Toby asks afraid.

"He'll make sure not a single vampire mingles with the mortals. That not a single Mundurium ever gets to step foot into the sunlight. He'll tighten the borders and make me grab every single soul who disobeys this order."

"How come you haven't told us this before? Why weren't you following his orders?" Damien asks me. "Do you want me to? Life is already shitty for every Mundurium out there. Businesses will drop, families would get torn apart!"

"Nice cover, but I know why you never got so strict with the rules Caivanial." Mara says. "Why?" Henry asks.

"Cause if he does implement those rules, he'll be marked as the most hypocritic bastard there is around. While he's imprisoning innocent people, he'll also be out there fiddling with his long lost soul mate." Mara finishes.

"Well, that explains a lot." Kamila smiles brightly.

"Yeah, so unless you want to keep your privileges, every single one of you is going to help me end this scrutiny." "This is all fine Caivanial, but what happens once the contract is signed and the Devil gets his wings back?" Damien asks.

"Haven't you heard the phrase before? Deal with the Devil? Once he makes that promise, he can never break it." "But what if he does?" Kamila asks.

"Then, the wings will belong to me."

"And you become the new devil?" Toby asks with a shiver.

Me. The Devil.

The thought of that put together was too bizarre to even think about, but that would happen. If father did break the deal, then I would have his wings and he would soon perish.

I nod my head at all of them then, as I receive mixed scepticism from each one of them. But I didn't bother on what they were thinking, I wanted to know if Alex was going to be fine with all of this.
