When it's finally over, when the ashes fall and Caivanial falls with me, my heart is finally at peace. There is no more worry, there is no more fright.

"Everyone's dead. Abby, Toby, Mr. Wayne, they're all gone K..." the sorrow overpours. I couldn't beat it, I couldn't fleet away from this.

Abby, I couldn't forget her, "I can't bear a life without her K. I can't deal with that..." "Alex I can save her. Her soul is still around. It's not been an hour yet."

"Then do it! Mr. Wayne too. And the Milowski's. Please Caivanial!" I urge him to hurry. "I'll get to it. Just stay here." he tells me before he leaves to Abby's body.

He eyes me from behind so that I'd stay still, and I make sure I do.

I catch my breath as I watch him go off to Abby. When he reaches her, I turn my eyes away. I don't want to see any ghastly thing he might do because I couldn't take another gut-wrenching horror to view. Looking around, my eyes find the wings laying on the floor-the same wings which caused everything.

We should've never played with them in the first place.

I bring myself up slowly, hoping he doesn't notice with the wings in my hand. They're too heavy for me to carry and so I drag them across the tainted damaged floors to its soulful owner. "Alex! What the Hell are you doing?!" he's infuriated.

"The right thing K." I tell him before I drop the wings back onto Mr. L's back.

Caivanial leaves Abby's body and lurches to my side immediately, but as the feathers and cartilage mend onto Mr. L's back, his body starts to heal and in no time, Mr. L's mummified body returns to its usual self, as he rises with glee in front of me.

I don't step back and neither do I return him the smile.

"Thank you my dear." he says to me.

"Father..." Caivanial's ready to attack, but the way I see it, nobody is going to attack anyone. "Don't worry. I won't hurt her." "Why?" Caivanial asks suspiciously.

"Because she brought me back alive, something neither you or anyone else around here would've done!" "So you're letting her live?"

"I'm letting you have her. Only true soul's like hers should deserve a life worth living and I'll admit, I was wrong to come between you and her."

"If you're lying father..." Caivanial's voice is softer now, hoping that his father was giving him the right message.

"She can stay son and I'll make sure that nothing ever happens to her."

"Father..." he says again, but only this time, tears of joy fill his eyes as he leans in to hug his father. I'm filled with content and happiness that he's finally made peace. It took a storm to bring them together.

"I'm glad your finally happy my son."

"Very father. And if you could help us with one last thing..."

"I know son." Mr. L says.

He raises his arm then and starts chanting in old Latin. The words escape his mouth like the smooth flow from a river. It's almost magical that tears begin to roll off my cheeks when Abby stands back up. She's the first, so I could only run up to her and give her the hug she deserves. "My best friend..." I murmur in her ear.

"Lex..." she smiles with glee upon the realisation that she wasn't dead.

"How?" she asks me. I could only gesture to the man in the white-striped suit, which caused her jaw to drop fiercely. "Glad to see the family is finally up." Caivanial wishes the Milowskis a warm welcome back.
