"Tina. What are you doing?" I ask her.

The sky is still dark but my wife is sitting up with her head panned to the empty blank wall. "Just go back to sleep mi amor." she says to me. I know something is bothering her—she sleeps faster than me. "My Tina. What's the matter?" I ask her subtly while I wrap my hands around her.

"I. I just don't know. This is getting too stressful. We should've just applied our Alex to Dalphous. Something could've happened to her today." "I know and we should feel blessed that she's healthy and well." I try to ease her mind.

"But if something did? We need to protect her. If he finds her, that's the end of her life and our world." "He will never find her." I tell her. "And what if he does?" she asks me back with worried eyes. "I'll fight. We're all fighters. I'll kill him if I have to." I tell her.

"How are you going to do that when you don't even know what he looks like! No one knows what he looks like!" she starts to argue back.

"My Tina. You're upset and tired. That's never a good combo. Right now, Alex is safe and well with us here. She knows not to allow boys up to her room and from the scene she put up during breakfast, I know that she's not rebelling out. She's still our little girl."

"I know, but I'm her mother. I feel that something's not right. It's our responsibility to her and to the Kain's."

Hearing her mention about our responsibilities make me feel the same way she did.

I hated that our daughter was being chased after a supreme being, but what could we do? We've already abandoned our previous lives by moving to this quiet town and getting a demon Fyre to help us.

"Abby's always there to help us..." I try to tell her but she gets angry.

"Abby has already caused a great problem for us. Alex knows about Abby, Lawrence! How long will it take before she figures out who we are...and the family?"

"That will never happen."

"You keep on saying that mi amor but things can slip. Alex is a curious girl and she will find out things." "That's what I adore about our little girl, Tina. She has the blood for it. She's a fighter. And besides, it's not like she's in her room now with him?"

"You're right, but something still bothers me. Why was my Alex on the old road for?" she asks and I'm left in question as well.
