Chapter 18 ● I need someone to help me ○

Calum wakes up after around half an hour. He knows they don't play with his thoughts as much when he's in a public place with loads of people around. Plus he thinks he might be able to get someone to help him. He leaves the house walking to the nightclub near his house.

Once he reaches the bar he sees Valley working her shift. He knew she would be. "Hi Valley, I'm sorry about what happened that day, I just--" Calum apologises and tries to explain himself but Valley cuts him off. "I'm sorry too, I understand you don't need to explain yourself" she replies.

"What can I get you to drink?" She asks him. "Literally anything is fine" he replies. She makes him a drink and passes it to him. "Thanks, can I talk to you in private once you're done?" He asks her. "Umm... okay" she replies a little bit hesitant. "Don't worry it's not about some weird dream I had about you" he whispers so that only she can hear him. "It's about mind controlling vampires" he adds still whispering so that nobody else hears him. "Sure" she replies.

Calum goes and sits at one of the booths. "Valley can't help you Calum" Darren tells Calum through his thoughts. "We can talk about you though" he replies to Darren. "Alright then have fun, but remember I can hear the gossip" he replies to Calum.

Valley finishes her shift. Calum goes to the back of the nightclub. Valley follows after him a few minutes later.  "What's up?" She asks him. "I feel like you're the only person who would truly understand how I'm feeling" he tells her. "I don't have just one vampire messing with my head" he adds. "What?" She asks. "Yeah, Darren's brother Cade thought it would be fun to get into my head too" he replies.

"Wait what?! Cade's here?" She asks him. "Yep he is, I met him here recently" he replies. "How come he didn't let me know he's here?" She questions. "I don't know, you're friends with him?" He answers and asks her a question. "Yeah, he was gonna help me get his brother out of my head" she answers him.

"Oh okay" he replied to her. "Do you have any suggestion as to how I can get at least one of them out of my head?" He adds to his reply. "Find someone to take your place" she replies. "Is that what you did?" He asks the realisation hitting him. "Umm... yeah" she replies. "So, you were in on Darren's plan to get him inside my head?!" He asks in a bit of an annoyed tone. "Yes I was, I'm truly sorry Calum" she replies. "How could you?!" He replies still frustrated storming away from her.

I would never want anyone else to go through what I'm going through... It's awful... I didn't know Valley was that selfish. Calum thinks to himself. He decides to go back home. I don't get why I didn't realise this sooner he continues to think to himself. "Why are you so annoyed?" Cade asks Calum interrupting his thoughts to himself. "The two of you won't leave me alone, plus I found out something about Valley" he replies.

When Calum reaches his house he locks himself in his room. I will find a way to get them out of my head without anyone else getting hurt he thinks to himself. "Don't you think that if there was another way Valley would have used it pup?" Darren asks Calum. "Leave me alone!" Calum shouts in reply still annoyed. "Sorry I'm not gonna" he replies to Calum.

"I SAID 'LEAVE ME ALONE!'" Calum shouts the loudest his voice could possibly go. This makes Darren lose a lot of the control he has over Calum's mind making him unable to communicate with him.

How the hell did he do that? Darren thinks to himself. Maybe it's all the vampire bites and vampire blood He tries to think of possibilities. I need to find a way to strengthen the control I have over him He continues thinking to himself. I'm gonna have to turn him soon I suppose He keeps thinking to himself.

Luke knocks on Calum's room door and Calum lets him in his room. "What's with all the shouting? You alright Cal?" He asks. "I'm alright now, it's not just Darren annoying me now" he replies to Luke. "What do you mean?" He asks Calum. "His brother Cade managed to get in my head too" He replies to Luke. "Oh no" he responds.

"I know, I can't deal with the both of them myself I need to get help from someone to deal with them" Calum tells Luke. "You mean like a therapist?" He asks Calum. "Yeah, I guess so" he replies. "Therapy won't help you Calum" Cade tells him through his thoughts.

"Why should I believe you?" Calum asks Cade. "I don't know, but I know it won't do much talking to someone about something they probably wouldn't understand" Cade replies. "Wow! Nice to know you think I'm terrible at explaining things to people" Calum responds to Cade sassily. "Don't get all sassy with me now Hoodie" Cade replies. "And remind who you are again? The sass police? I think not" Calum replies.

"Darren, why didn't you ever mention your new Valley is a sassy little bitch?" Cade asks Darren stepping into his house in the forest. "I don't know, I guess I'm not the one to expose people" he replies to Cade. "I seem to have lost the connection I had to his mind Cade, can you do me a favour and tell me what's up in his thoughts?" He asks Cade to do him a favour. "What will I get in return?" Cade asks Darren. "I know you've always had a major crush on Valley, so I will find a way to remove my control over her mind and I can set you up with her, do we have a deal?" He questions Cade. "Deal" Cade replies.

"Who were you talking to Calum?" Luke asks him. "Darren's brother Cade who's more annoying than Darren himself" Calum replies. "Are you seriously thinking about going to therapy for this?" He questions Calum. "Yes Luke I'm done with letting them push my mind wherever the hell they want it to be" he answers him. "Okay then you do you Cal, I'm not gonna stand in your way even though I personally don't think this is the best decision you've made" he replies to Calum. "Thanks for your support Lukey" he responds to Luke. "I'll always support your decisions Cal" he replies to him just before leaving Calum's room.

Calum starts google searching therapists near his house. He needs to find one close by so he can get there easily.

"What is he thinking about?" Darren asks Cade. "Therapy, he wants to see a therapist" Cade replies to Darren. "Thank you for the information Cade, I have a plan" He replies to Cade an evil smirk forming on his lips.
