Darren takes out his pocket knife again. He scrapes "you can't win" on Calum's forehead. "Ouch!" He screams in pain. "What does it say?" He asks Darren. "It's a message for Daphne telling her that she isn't gonna win" he replies to him. "Can't you tell her that some other way rather than scraping it on my forehead?" He questions him. "I can, but it's easier this way" he replies to him. "It's not like she's gonna reply to you though, she's on the 'heal' side in this game of tug of war, isn't she?" He replies and asks him to confirm whether he knows or not. "Oh, so you're calling our game 'tug of war' now?" He questions him. "Yeah I am, cause it feels like I'm the rope" he answers him. "Hmm interesting, what side am I on?" he replies and asks him another question. "You're on the 'hurt' side, since you keep hurting me" he answers.
"Does he seriously think I can't win?" Daphne asks no one in particular reading the message from Calum's forehead. She then heals the wound. "I'm gonna send him a message back but I won't hurt him" she tells them. "Okay" Ashton replies to her. She takes out a gel pen and writes "you sure about that?" On the spot she just healed. "Can we go to Darren's house and try convincing him to put Calum's consciousness back in his body?" Luke questions. "Sure, let's go" she answers. "Really?" Ashton asks her. "Yep and we're taking his body there" she replies to him.
Darren sees Daphne's message. "100%" he scrapes on Calum's cheek this time. "Can you stop treating me like a classroom desk?" He questions Darren. "What do you mean by that?" He asks him. "Oh, I forgot you didn't go to school" he replies to him. "School kids scrape messages and drawings and stuff using pens or whatever sharp thing they have on them on the desks sometimes when they're bored in class" he adds to his reply. "Ah I get it now, so you're comparing me to those school kids and yourself to the desks" he replies back to him. "I just love how you keep comparing yourself to inanimate objects" he adds to his reply back to him laughing a bit. "You're weird" he responds to him. "So are you" he responds back. "I know" he replies to him.
Michael, Luke, Ashton and Daphne make their way to Darren's house. They've also brought Calum's body along with them. Once they reach Darren's house they ring his doorbell.
"Hmm, I wonder who that could be?" Darren questions as he hears his doorbell. "I don't know, why don't you find out?" Calum answers and asks him a question back. He walks up to the door. He looks through the peep hole. "Oh, this is entertaining" he says to no one in particular. "Who is it?" He questions him curiously. "It just happens to be Daphne and your best friends" he answers him through his thoughts. "Should I let them in?" He adds a question to his answer. "Of course" he answers his question.
Darren opens the door. "Hello, do come in and take a seat" he greets them welcoming them into his house. They all take a seat and put Calum's body on one of the chairs. "Hi, we're not here for a friendly gathering though Dare" Daphne greets and tells him that. "So, what brings you here if it's not to be friendly?" He asks them. "Stop playing dumb! We know you stole Calum's consciousness and put it in your mind or whatever!" Ashton replies to him annoyance visible in his voice. "Oh and you want me to put his consciousness back in his body" he replies in a mocking tone. "That's exactly it" Michael replies. "Well, I'm sorry to say, that isn't happening" he replies to him. "That's where you're wrong Dare, cause it is" she replies to him. "Oh yeah, of course Miss Witch has what it takes to fix everything" he replies in that same mocking tone and laughs. "Is this seriously one big joke to you?" Luke asks him. "No, the real joke is all of you trying to fight against me, cause we all know I'm the one who's gonna win" he replies to him. "I really think you should lower your ego Mr. Vampire" she replies back to him.
This is awful. I hate everything about this. It feels like a war is about to happen right in front of my eyes and there isn't much I can do to stop it. But I have to try to help my friends somehow. Calum thinks to himself.
Daphne then does a spell to bring Calum's consciousness back to his body. His consciousness then returns to his body. He doesn't wake up in his body straight away though. After about five minutes he wakes up. Calum changes his position on the chair into a more comfortable one. "My head hurts" he complains. Darren only now realises what she did. "No!" He shouts clearly irritated at what she did. "Thanks for getting me out of there" he tells her. "You're welcome Calum" she replies. "We've got what we want, so let's go" Michael tells them. "Not so fast" Darren replies.
Darren gaves Calum a headache which is a lot for him to handle. He holds his hand to his head. He then increases the pain he sends to his head, making him fall unconscious again. He then directs his consciousness back to his mind again. "I'm in your mind again, aren't I?" He questions Darren. "Of course you are" he answers him. "You're the worst person I've ever met" he replies to him. "I'll take that as a compliment" he replies to him. "You obviously would" he replies back to him.
"No! Not again!" Ashton says annoyed that Darren put Calum's consciousness back into his mind. "I'll get his consciousness back from his mind again" Daphne tells him. She then casts the spell again. Calum's consciousness is back in his body again a little while after that. "Thanks again, but he isn't gonna stop until he gets his way" Calum tells them. "He knows me better than you do already Daph, and he's known me for less than a year" Darren tells her. "Let's leave then" Michael tells them. "I don't think that's a good idea" Calum replies to him. "Why not?" He asks him. "He can do it from far too, like when he did it from when I was in the forest" he replies to him.
Darren then makes Calum unconscious again and sends his consciousness back to his mind again. "And I'm back here again" Calum says sighing in disappointment. "It's not that bad" he replies to him. "Of course it is, you haven't been in a situation like this so you wouldn't know how I feel" he replies back to him. "You know what will make this more fun?" he asks as response to him. "You know what, I don't, and I don't care, because your fun isn't my fun" he responds back. "I know you secretly enjoy this" he replies to him. "You wish I did" he replies back. He then controls him and makes him sit on the same chair he is sitting on when his consciousness is in his body. "I see, you're trying to confuse me" he tells him. "You know how much I like a confused person" he replies laughing. "You're so strange" he replies back. "I could say the same about you" he responds.
Daphne then casts the spell again this time it takes a bit longer than the last as she puts a lot of effort and energy into casting them. Calum's consciousness is back into his body again. "Oh thanks again" he tells her. "I still feel like the rope in this game of tug of war" he adds to what he was telling her. "What?" She asks him confused. "I mean I feel like a rope in tug of war since he keeps putting my consciousness in his mind while you keep sending my consciousness back to my body, and it's like pulling on each side" he replies to her. "So, you're calling whatever this is 'tug of war' now?" She questions. "I am" he answers her.
"I'm not gonna let you win Daph" Darren tells her. "Back at you Dare, at least I have more people on my team unlike you fighting solo" she replies to him. "We aren't on your 'team', we just want Calum back" Luke tells her. "Oh okay, but I'm the one helping to get him back from Dare" she replies to him. "You don't have a team if your teammates disagree about all of you being in a team" Darren tells her. "Whatever" she replies. "Everything about this is a mess, and I'm tired, can I go home so I can sleep in my bed?" Calum questions them. "What do you say we give the 'rope' a break from 'tug of war'?" Darren asks her. "I agree" she replies to him. "Then it's settled, all of you can go home for now, but this isn't over yet" he tells them but his main focus is on Calum. "Thanks, I could do with a break from this" he replies and they all leave Darren's house and head back to where they are staying.
As soon as Calum, Ashton, Michael and Luke reach Calum's house they all go to their beds. Today was a lot for every one of them to handle. Soon enough they all manage to get their rest. They can worry about things that are about to happen later, later.
