Chapter 30 ● Confused realities ○

So, what happened in the nightclub didn't happen? I know it did though... Ashton kept trying to convince me it didn't though. It could be Cade or Darren playing their games though. I'm so confused did it happen or not? It felt so real... I felt every emotion and everything... it was too real to be fake... I don't know what's going on anymore... I don't think I can deal with this on my own... I think I should go back to the therapist... maybe he'll help me... Calum thinks to himself.

"Is Calum okay?" Michael asks Ashton when he sees him walk back in the living room and take a seat on the couch. "I don't know Mike. He was really confused and he was worried that he hurt you and kept talking about something that happened in the nightclub which obviously didn't happen since he didn't leave the house" he replies to him.

I still can't tell whether my mind was playing tricks on me or Ashton is just lying to me. Could Mikey be a vampire?  Am I a vampire? He does have a good reason to lie to me though... he knows I felt terrible about what I did since I left as soon as I realised I stuck my fangs into Mikey's neck. I don't really know what to believe anymore... I'm so confused. Calum continues thinking to himself.

Darren picks his phone up and dials Cade's number. "Hey" he greets Cade through the phone. "Hi Dare, what is it?" He greets back and asks why he called. "I need to discuss something with you" he replies. "Go on spit it out" he responds. "I'm not discussing it over the phone meet me in the forest near your house" he responds. "Fine I'll see you there bye" he replies cutting the call.

Calum goes downstairs to his living room. He sits on his couch near Ashton. Ashton turns the TV off. "You ready to tell us what's up with you?" He asks him. "Yeah I suppose I am" he replies. "Take your time" he responds. "I don't know what's real and what's not... I know I went to the nightclub to meet Cade cause he wanted to discuss something and the three of you followed me for some reason... then as I'm getting my drink I see a guy in a blue hoodie give something to Valley... I didn't think much of this but I should have... I get myself a drink and I think while I wasn't looking she put what that person gave her in my drink... I go back to where Cade is seated and drink the drink... Then blue hoodie comes up to the booth to talk to Cade... then I find out blue hoodie guy is Darren..." he starts explaining. "Continue" Luke replies impatiently. "I will, I just need some water" he replies to Luke going into his kitchen he fills himself a glass of water drinks a sip of it and takes takes it with him to the living room.

Darren waits for Cade at their meeting spot. Cade arrives after a little while. "Hey Cade" he greets him. "Hi Dare" he greets back. "I need you to stop whatever you're doing to Calum you're hurting him" he tells his brother. "Not happening brother" he replies to him. "Why not?" He asks him. "Cause you're still playing games" he replies. "So? What has that got to do with you?" He questions. "I want you to stop playing them" he replies. "Nope I'm not gonna stop just cause you want me to" he responds. "I'll just have to ruin your fun constantly then" he responds back. "Okay then, do what you want I don't care" he replies walking away.

Calum takes a deep breath before continuing. "Then he and Cade leave the nightclub to discuss something... they discuss whatever they wanted to but just Darren comes back to the nightclub" he continues. "Just get to the interesting part already" Michael replies getting impatient with Calum's explanation. "I will, be patient" he replies to Michael. "Then he comes to where I'm seated and I try to leave but he traps me there then he stabs me and I die" he continues explaining. "How would you be here now then?" Luke questions. "Just let him finish explaining Luke" Ashton answers for Calum. "Thanks Ash" Calum replies to him. "No problem" he responds.

I don't know what Cade's up to but I do know he's trying to ruin my plans. I will not let him though... I won't let his games spoil my games. He says he's not playing games but he is... he definitely is... I need to figure out what he's doing so I can think ahead of what I can do to overcome it... Darren thinks to himself.

"Then after a few hours I wake up and I'm really craving blood" Calum continues explaining. "So you turned into a vampire?" Michael asks. "Yeah, then I didn't want to drink blood and Darren kept trying to convince me to" he replies to Michael and continues his explaining. "Did he manage to convince you?" Luke questions. "Not really, then he brings you guys near me and he cuts your wrists making me turn and I step away from all of you" he answers Luke and continues the story.

"Calum, what did Cade do to you?" Darren asks through his thoughts. "I'm not gonna tell you Darren" he replies. "Can't that Darren guy leave you alone?" Michael asks Calum. "Apparently no he can't" he answers him. "Why not?" Darren questions him. "Because I don't trust you Darren!" He answers in an annoyed tone.

"Then he brings Valley into this too and she also tries to convince me but fails too" Calum continues his story. "Then he gets annoyed...and he pushes Mikey to where Valley and I are... then he throws her a pocket knife..." he adds to his explaining. Calum doesn't want to continue but he knows he needs to. He needs to get this off his chest. He can feel a tear about to fall.

"Calum are you okay?" Ashton asks him. "Yeah I'm fine I guess" he replies as he rapidly wipes that tear threatening to fall. "Then she... she stabs Michael in the neck with the pocket knife... I try to control myself... I fail miserably... and I... I..." he stops for a moment to try not to have a break down. He takes a deep breath in and slowly blows it out. "I turn into a vampire and bite Michael" he continues talking really fast.

"I can assure you that didn't happen" Michael replies to Calum's explaining. "Wait I'm not done explaining" he replies to him. "I bite him till he's unconscious and Valley pulls me away from him... then I realise what I did... I ran away from there... I went home only to regret it..." he finishes his explaining. "I swear to you that didn't happen" Michael replies to Calum's explaining.

"Lying to me isn't gonna make me feel better about what happened... I know what I did and you all are gonna have to stop telling me I didn't do it... it really happened... it was real" Calum replies to them. "But it really didn't happen" Luke replies to Calum. "I have no bite marks on my neck and I'm definitely not a vampire" Michael tells Calum. "Prove it" he replies to him. Michael shows Calum his neck and as he told him there were no bite marks on his neck. He then gets a knife and makes a cut on his finger Calum backs away from him as soon as he sees the knife. "See I'm not a vampire either" he shows him. The tiny prick he made on his finger is not healing swiftly and he isn't turning into a vampire either. "I'm so confused" Calum replies as he goes back to his room.
