"We're not meant for each other!"
In their world, zodiac signs are the prime basis on who you should end up with—like soulmates. Every person should end up with the ones they are best compatible with through their zodiac signs. Like how a Sagittarius is most compatible with Aries, Leo, Libra, and Aquarius.
The zodiac signs also has these signs who they are least compatible with and they mostly despite. These signs surely won't end up together. The system knows that—everyone knows that.
Leo and Taurus. Capricorn and Aries.
Virgo and Gemini.
For centuries, not once did the system failed. Everything is going smoothly—everyone despises who they should despise; everyone loves the person they should love.
Until a case—a one rare case—happens.
Virgo and Gemini are known to be the most least compatible signs thus, they are bound to despise and banter with each other for eternity. Every people who are Virgos despise people who are Geminis and vice versa. So, why, in these years, did the system failed?
She is a Gemini. He is a Virgo. They clash with each other in so many ways and in so many aspects. Even the first time they met each other, it was hell.
"Give me back my bunny!" the little girl shouted at the little boy tiptoeing in front of her. The said boy just grinned, finding amusement in her reaction.
He raised the stuffed toy higher, giggling. "I won't give it back, so you should reach for it," he taunted. The little girl glared at him, her little fists curled tightly by her side.
"Give it back, you stupid Virgo!"
The little boy laughed loudly. "If I'm stupid, then I don't know what you are."
She rolled her eyes before exclaiming, "Just give me my bunny!"
"Reach for it, shorty," he said while giggling.
The little girl glared at him one more time—her eyebrows furrowed and her lips pursed—before shrieking, "Shorty?!"
That made him grin more widely—mischief glinting in his eyes. "Ye— Ow!" he bellowed, gripping his leg—dropping the stuffed bunny in the process. He kept crying in pain as he curled in the floor.
The little girl grabbed her toy and smirked. "Don't call me Shorty."
She then left him with a satisfied grin in her face and him howling in pain in the floor.
For years, they are not on good terms. When they were both in high school, catastrophe happened.
"Yo, Jeong Yein," a voice that she certainly despises whispered in her ear. She pulled away in disgust, revealing a grinning boy.
"Why are you here, Jeon?" she asked, her tone bored.
Still grinning, he replied, "As far as I know, you don't own this school."
Yein groaned. He continued, "And, is it wrong that I want to see my true love first thing in the morning?"
He smiled widely at her and also batting his lashes which resulted to her giving him the finger. Jungkook laughed as they continued walking through the busy hallway.
"You know, you should stop being like a rabid chihuahua to me," he teases.
Yein rolled her eyes, not wanting to hear his bullshit anymore. "Then you should stop pestering me like a cockroach."
