Arc: Past Blues & Whites [Continued]
April 4- *9 years ago*
I head out the door of my home, ready to go to school once again. As I open the front gates of my modern house, I hear the front door open, then shut close. I turn around to see my sister running to me.
"Brotherrrrrr!" She runs up to me, jumps, and hugs me. I hug her back, and wait for her to let go. "Have a great day at school Kenken!"
I rub her head that's filled with hair. "Bye Echo," I say as I smile. "You should get ready yourself though." I look down to see her in her red princess pajamas, her favorite.
She looks down. "But I likeeeee!"
I smile and chuckle. "I'm sure you do." I proceed to open the gate. "Well, Echo. I'll see you later at school." She sneezes, then waves goodbye.
I walk through the gate, and close it. I was a couple of minutes early like I always me, so I decided to sit down and wait. Every single day since 2nd grade, I would wait here for Stylus. I remember that last time when he said we couldn't hang out, but he certainly didn't keep that promise. I sat as I waited for him to come. He didn't live to far away from me. About a 5 minute walk up the hill that was beside my house. I waited until I started to hear footsteps coming closer and closer.
"Ken!" Stylus says as he waves his hand back and forth.
I stand up and wave back. I wait for him to catch up to me before I start walking down the hill, towards the school. "Hey," I said as we started to walk together. Ever since 2nd grade, we started talking more and more. Until we finally became friends.
He looked back for a second to see if anyone was behind me. "Where's your sister?" he asks.
"She sick. Mom is supposed to drive her to the doctor's today."
"So she won't be at school?"
"Only for the first half," I say as we continued on down the hill.
As we walked down together, I begin to think about how our relationship was in the beginning. It was funny as I thought about it. Stylus was even looking at me while I chuckled to myself.
"You remember when we first met, and how you always said you would never be my friend?"
He lightly chuckles. "Yeah.......I don't even know how it happened. I could have sworn I told you to stay away from me." He looks down as he walks. As if he was thinking of something.
"You okay?"
He quickly looks up. "Oh, yeah."
As we walk together, we start to see the school up ahead. Of course, it was filled with people as always. As soon as we entered through the gates, I said bye to Stylus, knowing that our classes were in a complete opposite direction from each other. Ever since 2nd grade, I was hoping that we would have some classes together. But I guess since he was an elite, that's the reason why we had no classes together.
As I head towards my class, I hear my name being called from behind me.
"Ken!" I quickly turn around to see who it is.
