Arc: Level C [Continued]

April 11- Day 11C

It turns out that Blair had her car parked in a parking space around the area. So we simply drove to her house without saying one word on the way.

Her apartment was in the same city as Kaiden's house. When entering her apartment, she throws her keys into a basket on her kitchen counter. Just by entering, it was easy to tell that her apartment is small.

She walks over to her fridge, and looks inside it. She grabs a soda can and opens it, with that cracking noise following. After she takes a sip, she asks, "Do you want one?"

I simply shake my head as I look around the room.

"There's nothing interesting here honestly." She walks over to the couch, and signifies for me to follow. "It's nothing like that big townhouse you live in." She drops herself on the couch and sighs as she lays her hand on her forehead. I sit on the couch across from her. "Ah, that's right." She gets up, and walks into a room. She remains there for about a minute as boxes are being moved, and papers are being heard. She comes back and drops a stack of papers on the coffee table. "You're good at analyzing things, right? I don't get any of this."

I look at the papers for a couple of seconds, then begin to look through the pile. Then I notice a document that intrigues me. "These are your captains?"

She looks over at the paper and scoffs. "Those two are suspicious as shit. But nothing about them makes any sense."

"They were the ones talking during that party you all had, right?"

She jolts. "H-how did you know that?"

I pick up the paper in order to get a better look. "I was there." Under the two recognizable pictures were their names. "Barron and Vanessa....," I read out loud. Though as I look further down the paper, I notice something that is written that catches my eyes. "D-dead?"

"Exactly. I used the FBHE database to see if I could find any information on them, and the only response I get is that they're deceased. And the only pictures that come up are them. But those are the same exact faces of the captains."

"So either they faked their deaths, or they're using the name as a substitute. Does it say how they died and who they were?" I ask as I flip through the pages.

"I don't know. Some random people I guess. And how they died, I'm not sure. But these two people are not even remotely related to each other."

"Huh..," I sigh. "Then there's a likely chance that these aren't even their real identities."

"Then what is...? How do they look exactly like the captains if they aren't the same people?

She sighs. "Honestly, I'm tired. I don't even know where to start with this."

"Well start by telling me who Ean was calling before he died," I suddenly say.

She jolts as she looks at me. "I-," she stutters before she nervously laughs. "I honestly don't think-"

    "Blair."
