Arc: Level C [Continued]

May 18 *2 years ago*

*About 8 hours later*

Once I finally finish school, the bell rings, causing everyone to rush into the hallways. Towards one of the side exits was the cafe, where most people eat their lunches.

Not a lot of people were heading there after school, so the closer I got to the cafe, the less people were there.

Once I reach the door, I slowly peak inside and look around. Even though it was the end of the day, the cafe was relatively clean, with trash bins beside each and every row. And the room was pretty bright with windows on every side.

Looking at the corner of the building, I could see Felix sitting on the chair with his legs crossed. I walk up to him, noticing that he was on his phone. Once he notices my presence, he quickly looks up. "Ah, you're here."

"I didn't expect you to get here this early," I say as I sit next to him. "Oh, are you getting a drink or something?" I stand back up. "I'll buy one for you. They're all pretty good."

"No, I'll do it," he responds as he gets up. "See it as a thank you for earlier."

"A-ah, really? You don't-"

"Don't worry, it's fine. Which one do you want?"

I pause for a couple of seconds as I attempt to read the board from across the room. Though knowing that I probably wasn't going to stay here for long, I simply get the drink that I always do. "Just a mixed berry smoothie," I say with a smile.

He nods before heading towards the ordering counter, where one of the staff members stood. I slowly sit back down, are look around in boredom. Looking on Felix's side, it doesn't seem like he brought a lot of items with him. "I wonder what ability he has...," I whisper to myself. Does his orange hair closely relate to it?

Suddenly, a cup of my order is set in front of me, causing me to move slightly back. "You didn't notice me coming?" he asks with a chuckle.

I nervously chuckle as he sits on his chair with a drink in his hands. "Oh, how did the meeting go with the dean?"

"Hm?" he says as he sips on his drink. He quickly stops before he responds. "Oh, that. It went pretty well."

I nod my head as I take a sip. "That's good. That boy will probably get suspended though. From holding a knife to our faces and all of that." I laugh as I take another sip.

He pauses for a couple of seconds as he seemingly analyzes me. I slowly look up, wondering what he was thinking. "You handled them pretty well."

"Oh..." I nervously chuckle as I scratch my head. "You think so?"

"Of course. It was almost as if you were actually planning on breaking his fingers."

"A-ah," I nervously respond, looking away. "Oh!" I quickly look back at him. "I've been meaning to ask you, but what even happened in the first place?"

He scoffs before answering. "Well, you know...," He takes another sip and pauses before he answers. "Simply humans being humans." He begins chuckling. "That egotistical attitude. You never get enough of it. It's too funny."
