Arc: Level C [Start]

April 8- Day 8E

"Tairen?" He looks closely at the picture, then smirks. "Perhaps," he simply answers.

I quickly slam the photo back on the table, and look up at Zarith. "B-but that's not possible!"

"But you lost your memory, didn't you? How would you know that something like this wouldn't be possible?"

I widen my eyes, realizing that what he was saying is probably true. How would I know? "Could Xear have disappeared with him then? Could he be a part of Percent?" I continue to search through the photos, only to notice that this Xear person was often with us. "Most of these pictures were taken with Echo's camera..," I slowly mention. "So Echo knew him as well, it seems." I sigh as I put my hand on my forehead. "Stylus did not make it sound like he was this close to us at all." I pause as a memory begins to form in my mind. I stand still, yet slowly start to feel dizzy.

Suddenly, a memory comes from a year ago, when I was kidnapped. I remember most about about event, yet for some reason, I can't make out the face of the one person I'm supposed to remember. The one person that has taken everything I care for away from me. The one person that has brought me to isolation, that has brought me nothing but pain. Every single thing that has been done to me in that cell is permanently ingrained into my mind... but the person who has caused this in the first place.

All of the memories from my kidnapping rush into my brain, causing me to imagine each memory after the other. I feel the warm sweat from my body as I remain still. Suddenly, I feel a flick on my forehead.

I snap out of my thoughts, and quickly look at Zarith, shocked.

"Breathe," he simply says as he looks at me.

I do as he says, and slowly breathe in and out. Once I finally calm down, I look back down at the picture, and think. "Zarith," I begin. "A part of me can not believe I wasted four months.... doing nothing."

"You trusted Stylus's words," he reminds me as he looks through some of the other pictures.

"I'll start with level Cs. Considering the fact that now I know level Ds are useless to me," I explain, continuing to look at the pictures.

"Oh?" he chuckles. "So you'll be going forth with your hit list again?"

I scoff. "You don't have to call it that-"

"But that's what it is, is it not?" he interjects.

I sigh, then continue to explain. "I want to start from the bottom-"

"You want to dismantle their system," he interjects once again. He then walks closer to me. "You want to break each of them, starting from the weakest, to strongest."

I slightly glare at him for a couple of seconds, then scoff. "Stop making it sound worse than it actually is."

"You're not admitting it." He slowly begins to laugh. "You're the one that's making it sound better than it actually is."

I look at him for a couple of seconds before I chuckle. "Alright," I whisper. "You caught me."

He smirks as he turn around, and looks through the pictures once again. "So, how are you gonna go about this?"
